Incredible Service and High-Quality KBBQ - A Must-Visit Gem!
I am absolutely blown away by our experience here and honestly can't understand why this place wasn't packed on a Sunday afternoon. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was on a completely different level from any other Korean BBQ restaurant I've visited.
We were greeted by the owner as soon as we arrived, and after mentioning it was our first time, he gave us a personal tour of his establishment. The service from both the owner and the staff remained incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal; we always felt catered to. In a move that truly sets them apart, they cook the meat for you at your table! The owner even personally checked on us, teaching us the traditional way to eat with lettuce wraps (ssam) and encouraging us to use all the different condiments and sides for the full Korean experience.
The restaurant operates with a self-serve buffet for all the sides and raw meat, allowing you to get as much as you want. We chose the $45 option, which I highly recommend. The meat was exceptionally high-quality, and the boneless rib BBQ was a definite 10/10. For this level of service and food quality, the pricing is very fair and feels like a bargain.
The ambiance adds to the charm. The restaurant opened in 1992, and stepping inside feels like traveling through time. The vintage vibe is well-preserved and adds a layer of authenticity to the meal.
I will be back in a heartbeat. This isn't just a great meal; it's a warm and welcoming experience provided by an owner who is clearly passionate about his restaurant and his customers. Highly recommended!

The service was incredibly, the attention for the little details was so good, one of the owners cooked for us and introduced us to Korean culture and their food, we felt like we were in Korea. The restaurant feels like 80’s or 90’s Korean which is amazing, thanks Daniel (Danielito) for the service and being so attentive.

Not only is the food delicious but the service is really good and authentic. I visited Choeng Wun after a tourist trip and I was blown away with the flavor and hospitality. The owner and employees asked us if we are coming down for the first time which we did. They helped us picked good choices and served us their recommendations. Felt very at home and welcomed.

It's been a while since we came- since shortly after they raised prices.
Now, their prices are about in line with everyone else. And their food quality is better. The meats are better, Kimchi better, we had a good dinner and will return!

If you are looking for a real & authentic Korean barbeque all you can eat place in Koreatown, don’t look for other places but give it a try at this place! This place is a hidden gem in Koreatown. It might look a little run down simply because it has been around for long time (opened in 1985) but inside you will be met with great hospitality and will be able to enjoy premium LA Galbi. Their Galbi is so tasty and juicy!!! And their selection of banchan is amazing, too and even includes cold noodle, naengmyun, brought to you on demand. And unlike most other all you can eat places, the owner lady grills the meat for you if there are not many customers around. The place is spacious and has kids-friendly seats.

The meat choices were excellent and there was plenty to choose from. We went with the top tier all you can eat buffet and was not disappointed. What I assume was the owner shared some of his favorite side dishes and showed me how to eat a few of them with the meat properly. Will make return trips here.

This place is not a very good place to eat. I've been to alot of Korean bbq and this one is one of the worst for me. Very limited options to choose from. Some Side to choose from is some rice or bean soup, rice, dry ass noodle and fried rice. There's some wing too but they never refill it all through our meal. Meat quality is bad and no diping sauce. We left still hungry. It was that bad. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This was the 3 time we came here with my family and I even decided to bring a friend for Christmas eve because I have good experience the 2 time previous from to today however everything was going well until we had to pay the lady was demanding a tip and I thought the amount we ate was not much for the price we paid however the lady demanded us to pay a tip and my friend who was my guest had to leave some cash and yet she still demand more I really felt embarrassed that we had given more of our money if we paid for what we ate and thought it was fair if you state the place is all you can eat for the price you advertised them why are you going to demand more ? I felt embarrassed that my friend had to step in the situation like if we were leaving without paying in my opinion tipping we a gesture to thank there hard work but from what we expected that wasn't the case I don't recommend this place it's better to go somewhere else or even Dave's hot chicken or vin Thai restaurant because that's not okay to treat customers that pay for the bill and are haggled to pay more I repeat DON'T GO HERE
