Authentic Korean food with a nostalgic ambience and hospitable employees This is one of those restaurants where it can be your first time there but you feel like you've been there before :)

So many good Korean restaurants in LA Korean Town! Chunju Han-il Kwan suggested by my friend and we decided to give it a try! Turns out a great experience! We loved it. Tasty food, authentic Korean interior decoration , prompt service , serving beer and soju! Although they have tofu pot and Bulgogi but we are here for Army Stew pot and seafood pancake! So delicious . Price is reasonable given Vegetable Side Dishes can be replenish! Nice !

Chun Ju Han Il Kwan is a rare gem of a restaurant that truly captures the essence of Chun Ju cuisine. Having tasted Chun Ju Bean Sprout Soup (전주 콩나물국)in Chun Ju, Korea, I instantly fell in love with its distinctive flavor. This restaurant boasts the finest Chun Ju-style menu I've encountered. My last visit was in 2017, and my brother and I ordered the Chun Ju Bean Sprout Soup, scallion pancake (부추전), grilled mackerel, and some makgeolli (막걸리). True to form, the Chun Ju Bean Sprout Soup was exceptional. The rich contents and presentation of the simmering soup tantalized our taste buds, evoking memories of authentic Chun Ju-style cuisine. What's more, the owner, who has been with the restaurant since its inception, warmly recognized my brother, a longtime patron, leaving us deeply impressed. For an authentic taste of Chun Ju cuisine, look no further than Chun Ju Han Il Karan.Parking: It’s not even a valet parking. Be prepared to pay. We paid $5 for staying one hour.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years, and it never disappoints. It’s home style Korean cooking; lots of stews and casseroles. Banchan are always fresh and delicious. We’ve tried various menu items including bibimbap, spicy fish stew (매운탕), and dumpling soup (떡만두꾹), and everything is good. Portions are generous. Soups are large enough to share.

This place is closest to my mom's home cooking. Had a soy bean soup and was delish. Will come back for their famous army stew :)

Terrible valet service. 12/23 Around 9:15 PM the valet parks his own vehicle in a handicapped spot and refused to move it for my mother that has a handicap placard (she is going through chemotherapy and has had multiple surgeries). He acted disrespectful and mouthed her off saying it wasn't her business. He should not have a job here.

Their braised cod was delicious although a little bit light on the fish compared to their OC competitors that serve the same dish. Parking is $5 valet. Service is lovely and banchan is solid.Parking: Small parking lot. Expensive valet.

A lot of variety on the menu and I'm already planning to come back for more. I got the soybean stew, it was warm and delicious - some comforting. Great ambiance, great service.
