We celebrated my wife's birthday on Saturday, Dec 20 at the Cicada, this was our first time in this restaurant/lounge. We loved it, everyone was very nice and attentive, the service was amazing. We had the opportunity to have Lupe as our attendant, and she was very attentive and prompt with our meal and drinks. I highly recommend this place, the live band was great and the dancing supper.
Highly recommended.

Delicious food! Showtime started at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I liked that we had our reserved table for the night and weren’t rushed to get the next party in. The waitress even offered to spread out our courses throughout the night which was much appreciated. 5/5 would make the drive back for this experience again!

My family celebrated a birthday. We enjoyed the music, their show. Mr. Douglas is talented showman. Entire venue is beautiful, service excellent.
Restrooms are outdated, and need some refreshing.

I live less than a block away from Cicada and tonight as I was walking towards another restaurant I walked by Cicada. I wasn't dressed for the occasion, but I asked anyway if I could have dinner and they were super nice. They let me in and I was transported to 1920s. I was speechless, everyone inside was super super dressed up, women wearing their beautiful dress, gentlemen wearing a suit, the music, the singers... I can't describe how I felt this place. I had dinner by myself, I enjoyed the music, the vibe, but overall how they can transport back in time. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I'll be back!!

Diner and dancing can't be beat! But you must dress the part and be prepared to dance the part too. Love this club!

The entertainment, atmosphere and service was good....the food, awful! The cantalope wasn't ripe ( hard), I had to sent the steak back because I could barely cut it at medium ( the waiter then suggested medium rare) it was more tender, but so much fat that I couldn't eat it! I paid $98 for dessert!!!
When I asked to speak to the manager, they wouldn't come to the table.
The tables need to be spaced differently because all we could see were the dancers heads.
$98 for a dinner I couldn't eat, $20 for a drink and $30 for the show!!! I ended up paying $183 for a good show that we had a hard time seeing and awful food!!

What could have been a five-star evening was completely derailed by the sheer rudeness of some of the staff—most notably the host/front door woman. Her behavior was appalling: arrogant, dismissive, and utterly devoid of hospitality. She was nothing short of horrid—abrasive, and dripping with contempt. Zero hospitality. Zero professionalism. Not sure who she thinks she is, but whether owner or employee, she is the absolute last person who should be the “face” of a so-called high-end restaurant.
Her behavior didn’t just miss the mark; it obliterated it. A venue that trades on glamour and spectacle should understand that service is the experience—and this hostess single-handedly trashed it. If this were my establishment, I would have fired her in a heartbeat.
For a restaurant that positions itself as “high end,” the unprofessionalism was shocking. We’ve dined at unique, kitschy venues across the globe—including the world-renowned Magic Castle just minutes away—and never have we been treated with such disdain. On my birthday no less!
Cicada has all the makings of an incredible night out, but as long as staff like this represent the face of the restaurant, the experience will remain subpar at best. If you are looking to celebrate anything special, go elsewhere.
The ONLY thing that saved the night was the entertainment.

Absolutely stunning place. Came here for my birthday for drinks and dancing. Be aware they charge a $25 cover fee per person even if you’re not having dinner. The live music is such a vibe and dancing here is so much fun. Just be prepared to spend some money if you’re staying for drinks as they are not cheap. The whole place feels like you’ve been transported back in time and it’s amazing that everyone dresses to the nines. Would love to come back and have dinner here sometime

One of a kind club, still has the 20's decor and ambiance. An amazing experience, very friendly staff and owner. Excellent service and incredible big bands
