Such a wonderful time here. It carries a 1920’s elegance and magic that’s not found anywhere else in LA.

This is an amazing place...especially if you are a fan of big band music and art deco. There is also a rich history in that it was, at one time, the location of a popular emporium for men's fashion. However, the food is nothing special. They also still charge you an entrance fee even if you have dinner there...which can cost a pretty penny.

One certainly can feel being transported into speakeasy times of the 20th century. Great ambiance, food, and entertainment. Looking forward to many returns.

We went here to celebrate a birthday and it was awesome! Service was great, atmosphere was great, the drinks were great, and the band was Amazing!

The only thing that wasn't on par with everything else was the good we ordered. We had the steak and the salmon, not the best, in my opinion. However, the stuffed shrimp and the Tuna Tartar was really good, while the Tiramisu was Excellent and so were the drinks (had to mention drinks again because the bar tender was making them perfectly). I need to learn ballroom dancing and come back here again so we can take full advantage of the atmosphere and ambience.

For NYE Pre-Fixed Meal
- 45 min to get drink order
- 1 hour for appetizer
- After appetizer, they skipped the 2nd and brought the main
- Once we had eaten the 2nd, the wrong main was brought
- They brought the wrong main again
- And again
- Finally, they said they were out of the main I ordered
- Then they brought a well-done strip but told me it was a filet
- Then they skipped the dessert and brought the check
- We finally got our dessert to go because they were closing the restaurant down and staff were breaking down the tables
- The bill had an item charged we didn't ask for
- They gave themselves 20% gratuity

We celebrated my wife's birthday on Saturday, Dec 20 at the Cicada, this was our first time in this restaurant/lounge. We loved it, everyone was very nice and attentive, the service was amazing. We had the opportunity to have Lupe as our attendant, and she was very attentive and prompt with our meal and drinks. I highly recommend this place, the live band was great and the dancing supper.
Highly recommended.

Delicious food! Showtime started at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I liked that we had our reserved table for the night and weren’t rushed to get the next party in. The waitress even offered to spread out our courses throughout the night which was much appreciated. 5/5 would make the drive back for this experience again!

My family celebrated a birthday. We enjoyed the music, their show. Mr. Douglas is talented showman. Entire venue is beautiful, service excellent.
Restrooms are outdated, and need some refreshing.

Do not eat here. The food was subpar, couldn’t even finish any of it . But everyone is nice and it is beautiful. Tip: Come here it’s fun just eat before hand.

I live less than a block away from Cicada and tonight as I was walking towards another restaurant I walked by Cicada. I wasn't dressed for the occasion, but I asked anyway if I could have dinner and they were super nice. They let me in and I was transported to 1920s. I was speechless, everyone inside was super super dressed up, women wearing their beautiful dress, gentlemen wearing a suit, the music, the singers... I can't describe how I felt this place. I had dinner by myself, I enjoyed the music, the vibe, but overall how they can transport back in time. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I'll be back!!
