Fantastic and attentive staff. Food is delicious and an upgrade from old 101. I go often and am always looked after. Go once and you will go again. Unfortunately it's so good sometimes it can be a bit crowded. Not a problem, worth a wait and it's usually short. Enjoy

Clark Street has a beautiful interior crammed with every type of stereotypical Los Angeles and tourists to experience a taste of diner culture. The prices are what will immediately stun you, but you persist because if you found close enough street parking, that's a big win! If you're lucky, you will come in during a turnover of tables so you won't have to wait long. We waited 5 minutes and were blessed with a big booth. After our meal, the waiting area looked like a mob awaiting a merch drop. Servers seemed spread a little thin, but made up for it with hospitality! Be patient with your servers and the kitchen, folks! Food wasn't bad. $23 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, hashbrowns, & upgraded pancakes. In this economy? I get it, but this wouldn't be a regular spot to grab breakfast UNLESS I was sitting by myself at the rather empty bar. There's plenty of less chaotic, easier parking, better value diners in Los Angeles.

Used to come here when it was the 101 Coffee Shop. It was a great spot for a good late-night bite and old-school diner vibes. I've been there a few times since it reopened and the new owners have really missed the boat. First, the hours and menu are limited. And for a menu that small, the food is hit or miss. Last time I was there, the coffee was lukewarm and the toast was burnt. Black. They just put it burnt-side down on the plate. Lastly, the bathrooms don't have soap (I checked both men's and women's rooms). When I informed the staff, they said they would refill them but by the time we left, they hadn't. I had to use the hotel restroom to wash my hands. As they say, if you want to know what a restaurant's kitchen is like, look at the bathroom. On a positive note, the waitress is really sweet and works hard. She's too good for this place though. I wish people who understood the appeal of the 101 and understood diners had taken over. I live right around the corner, but probably won't be coming back.

Fun LA brunch spot conveniently located near the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Definitely has an retro Hollywood look and vibe. Food was fantastic. Mimosas were delicious. If you're looking for an "LA experience" Clark's has got you covered.

Finally tired of giving these guys a pass because they resurrected the 101. Do better. The corn beef hash is insultingly mediocre at best with wisps of corned beef blended in the hash. Please go to John O'Groats and take a lesson. Same with the biscuits. Coffee is burnt to a crisp half the time. I really, really, want to come here more but between the stupid prices and mediocre food I'll pass for now.

I really like this diner; my family and I come here almost every Sunday. The service is great. The only issue is that there's often a wait. Can I call ahead to reserve a table for a specific time, or is it walk-in only?

Stopped in for brunch based off the photos on yelp and had a pretty bad experience. Waited a good 30 minutes for a booth, and then an extra 10 for some reason because the lady doing the seating was not paying attention. After we get seated we wait another 15 minutes while the waitress is tending to everyone else who had been there already, still no waters or any attention paid to our table. At this point have been at this trendy garbage hole for an hour, and we're ready to order. We got biscuits and gravy, patty melt and kids meal. The patty melt was one of the worst I've had in my life, with a strange flavor. Overly salty fries and the biscuits and gravy were trash. We get our bill and realize our child's lemonade was 5 dollars, and 2 dollars for the smallest side of ranch possible. Worst service and even worse food. Avoid like the plague

The first time I was in Los Angeles, was 2007. I didn't know what to expect, and I got a really good tour by a close friend. Fast forward to today, and I'm back in LA for a conference. Breakfast is a meal I look forward to having whenever I can get it, and I had a craving for my all-time favorite: French Toast. After doing some extensive searching I came across The Clark Street Diner. Someone had taken a photo of their French Toast and it looked like the traditional dish from my childhood. I decided to see for myself. I got there, was greeted and seated at in under 10 minutes. But just to give you a heads up, this place is BUSY. The waitstaff were speedy, efficient and accurate. I overheard others making their orders, and they were fulfilled in the customers's requested manner. Then my order landed in front of me. The photo wasn't an exaggeration or zoomed in. The Challah bread French Toast was thick, spiced with cinnamon, and with thick bacon (3), and sage breakfast sausage patties (2). Exquisite! The decor would remind you of the diner from Pulp Fiction - that 60's family diner style. The next time you find yourself in LA in Hollywood, do yourself a favor and go get breakfast here. It's right across the street from The Hollywood Tower. Enjoy! 5/5 Stars.

BEST DINER FOOD EVER!!!!! can't wait to come back again and try more things. I got the Eggs Benedict, the poached eggs were absolutely perfect. Brunch with friends is always so special, especially if the food is BOMB

Yummy Asian chicken salad, kid's menu, omelets, fruit bowl. Only street parking which was challenging to find. We ended up walking from our nearby hotel. Many movies were filmed here. Waitress was friendly.

Great breakfast. Banana pancakes 10/10, eggs scrambled 10/10. Constant refills. Great vibe and somehow has parking.

Amazing breakfast! My family is headed to universal studios this morning we needed a good place to eat. Found Clark street diner and ordered the Huevos Rancheros, French toast, pancakes, and a protein omelette. The sourdough toast is top notch quality bread not store bought stuff you would find at a normal diner. Even the hot chocolate was great! We will be back for more!!!

Feels like rich people cosplaying diner. Cute vibes inside but beyond overpriced. Not sure I would go back.
