The fact that we felt transported in time with the vibe alone is 5 stars. I got treated to a perfect chilaquiles en mole covered with sunny side up eggs. Side of refried beans and white rice sprinkled with cotija cheese. One word. Phenomenal. Add a chia lemonade, and I'd say I had the perfect breakfast. Second dish was a pozole with a side of pata had to order a second pata it was so good and tender. Radio Joya in the background playing, definitely took us Mexico City in what felt a 70s era. Highly recommend this place .

There aren’t many sit down restaurants in Watts, but this small family business fills the void. It’s on a busy street with little parking but it is worth it to dodge traffic when crossing the street because THE FOOD IS AMAZING. The tortillas are handmade, as is all of the delicious menu. My favorite is the chicken tinga in a fried quesadilla. Yum yum yum.

Fresh authentic Mexican food. Everything was made from scratch! The prices were great and the food was delicious! We were served with a smile…the food came in a timely fashion. My only issue is that a couple came in after us, ordered after us but was served their food before us.

If you are ever in the area, definitely do not sleep on this place. We stopped in after a tour of the Watts towers ( this place is close to the towers). The food here is authentic and very delicious. I had the costillas de puerco en salsa morita, it comes with rice and beans oh and freshly made corn tortillas and it did not disappoint. The agua de Jamaica was really good. We also had tacos, which really. This place is 10/10. I highly recommend you stop in and try it out.

There was a group of 11 of us and we were provided with excellent and friendly service. (We had made a reservation for our large group and they were ready for us.)
Everyone loved the food - and between us we tried practically everything on the menu. They brought out tortilla chips with a yummy mole sauce before we ordered. Pleasant outdoor dining area with a lovely small garden. Good value.
