Hidden gem in DTLA. Has the appearance of just being a humble Cafe with coffee and pastries but offers so much more!I've stopped in for lunch several times as they do have a full kitchen. Chicken tenders, pizza, hot dogs, FANTASTIC fries, wings, pasta whatever youre craving they can pretty much suite everyone's tastes.Lots of seating options and surprisingly never super crowded. Great place for a working lunch meeting.Ordering from the kitchen doesn't take very long, 15 min or so. Staff is always friendly

I told the manager I prefer buying coffee here because of the vanilla and lavender syrup. And he ends up charging me 79 cents for every pump of syrup. So I ask for 4 pumps of syrup each from lavender and vanilla. Which he quadruple the price for 79 cents for every

This place is near my job. I ordered a caramel iced latte and the guy asked me if I wanted to try the seasonal caramel apple iced latter and I was a bit skeptical because I’m not big on the fall flavors but it’s actually really good and I will definitely order this flavor again. He also offered to change it back to my regular drink if I did not like it which is amazing customer experience.

This place has great coffee and pastry. I havent tried their food. But definitely try their pastries. They could make the place look cuter since they have so much space.I recommend you try a latte with cheese danish

Let me preface this review with a statement: I am a coffee connoisseur. That being said, Moe (the owner) has absolutely excellent coffee at Commodore. First visit, I got a 12oz plain latte. Perfect consistency, creamy, not bitter at all like the major chains. I had a 15 minute conversation with Moe about espresso and his source. He gets his beans directly from Costa Rica and his espresso is very good. His cafe is upscale with a big floorplan. Definitely one of the best cafés in DTLA.Update: I had the opportunity to stop in again seven months later. Moe is still the best. I got the keto drip (buttered coffee) and a cheese danish. The Colombia drip coffee is really good. Excellent. The cheese danish was the Bombay. Recommend. If you like coffee and are in LA, try this place! You won't be disappointed.
