This place claims to be open until 10 PM, but they stop taking orders after 9:30 PM without any notice. They don’t care that people spend time getting there, only to be turned away. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

The restaurant was closed, although Google shows it as open, but the phone didn't answer, so I decided to go there and it was closed.

Terrible experience. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went there and ordered focaccia, picked veg, and a margherita pizza. I wanted to make sure they wouldn’t add Parmesan because, for some reason, I have a bad reaction to it and vomit immediately. Parmesan wasn’t listed as an ingredient for the margherita, but I could taste it.
I asked the waiter again, and he assured me there was no Parmesan. I tried another small piece and immediately felt nauseous. When I asked once more, he finally admitted that they had recently changed the cheese blend, and it now contained Parmesan. At that point, I asked if it was possible to have the pizza without it. He said no and suggested I order a marinara instead, since it doesn’t have cheese.
I then asked if I could have just a simple mozzarella pizza, and he said the chef doesn’t allow modifications (even though they literally have a add-ons on the menu). After 10 minutes, he came back and told me they could accommodate my request, but by then, my boyfriend had already finished eating, and I had lost interest.
On top of that, the restaurant was almost empty, with only three other people dining besides us. As an Italian expat, I was really excited to try this place, but the experience was just awful. If they had clearly stated that modifications weren’t allowed, I wouldn’t have bothered coming. Besides, I don’t think my request was unreasonable, especially since the ingredients weren’t even listed correctly on the menu.
Shame on them, never again.

Oh it was Yum-Tastic😋!
Jumped in for pie to-go and received pleasant customer service, got the run down (1st time customer) and grabbed the specialty "Pie of the Month".
The pie came out in 15 mins and I was on my way. The ingredients tasted fresh, it had great flavors and was filling; only caveat, if there's more than one person in the party you're going to have a pizza party and order more pie which obviously isn't a bad thing because you get to experience the other options☺️.
Parking can be a challenge so I suggest looking on Alvarado which generally has a higher turnover. Bon Appetit 🤌.
Vegetarian options: They have vegan or it can be made vegan, just ask.
Wheelchair accessibility: Street level and flat entrance.

The only good pizza I ate between New York, LAS Vegas and Los Angeles!
Ordered takeaway with Uber eats... they saw fit to prepare it 45 minutes before delivery but the problem is that when I arrived at the hotel it had already been there for a long time and cold... but despite everything it was (even if small) similar to a typical Italian pizza also of decent quality... Too bad about the wrong delivery, it would have cheered up my (food) holiday in Los Angeles from Campania... The delivery was requested at 9pm but it left at 8.15am...

Overpriced and tasted like cardboard. Go to the place down the street.

Located close to South Echo Park, we came here because one of our party has been following the chef patron since 3017, when he first opened this pizzeria. This is a typical “don’t judge the book by its cover” kind of restaurant, because it definitely lacks in decor and location. On the other hand the service is very good and the food is just as appealing. The garlic focaccia we had for starters was great and our party had different dishes including a pasta dish (parmeggiana) and a few pizzas (calzone, supreme and sausage pizzas) the worst one would be the sausage for me. Not that it was bad - in fact it had a great thin base and the right amount of spicy peppers- unfortunately the sausage was barely visible, which is a pity. Other than that we enjoyed our time there.

Pizza was good. Wings were okay, more like a sticky Asian sauce to me then traditional buffalo. Service was sub par at best. Especially being the only table in there. Seemed like we were more of an inconvenience. Sad, seeing as customers pay for the employees insurance. Different menu for certain hours, which seems silly for 1 hour, so couldn't try things I saw online and was interested in. Conveniently located on a busy street. I'd skip it next time for sure.

Best chopped salad and pizza in Los Angeles. Everything here is good, we always get takeout and it’s still fresh and delicious when we get home.

So this evening my family wanted to get pizza for dinner and saw this place and decided to give it a try so the food was good and we all enjoyed very much but the service was alright when I went to pay for the check the lady Shelby that took our order was very nice and helpful but when she gave me my check to pay I didn't know that I was going to charge a 20% to my total and I'm was like man this is a lot almost $100 but I thought that it was the customer choice to make a decision on how much the tip would be and I get that it's about the service we pay for but this is not okay that he decided to add the tip for me and just decide the tip amount for me and I'm not a happy customer about she made my decision like I had a choice and I'm not happy the service wasn't great or anything it was just alright I don't like when my Choices are taken and made for me i want a refund of tip $15.55 that i did not agree a pond when i looked at the recipt I was like the total is high and the total should have been only $80.85 if you want to make this right and not make me have my lawyer get a lawsuit on this damn company then refund me that $15.55 back and I also gave her an extra $10 tip so basically near $25 tip thinking that this is a nice tip okay well hell NO I can't believe this kind service that was shown if you want to contact me then I'm ready to file a lawsuit with my lawyer

Simple spot for pizza and other Italian specials. Took a minute to find the door because it looks like a window. Service was lukewarm at best, hesitated to seat two of us at a booth despite it being 7:30 and almost empty inside. Server also didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink and brought the bill after about an hour without being prompted.
Huge chicken parm, but comes with no sides (literally a massive piece chicken with cheese on a plate). Pasta my co-diner had was overcooked. Caesar had a lot of anchovy.
Main issue: I had to ask for an itemized receipt, at which point I noticed there is a 4% charge added to all bills for the owner to “provide health insurance to their employees” (not shown on the first bill). I’d like to note that for companies in CA with over 50 employees, it is required by law to provide full time employees with health insurance benefits.
I find it dishonest (in that this is intentionally written very small in the menu, and only seen on an itemized receipt) that the owners of this establishment seem to think they can put this cost onto the customer. Would you like a cookie for taking care of your employees as you are legally obligated? I was half tempted to ask our server how the medical care was considering we’re chipping in on it…This seems to be the new tip-flation in LA and, frankly, it’s an insult to workers and customers. Your employees deserve benefits YOU pay for. That’s your job as an employer.
Solid three stars because the food was definitely edible, but I don’t think I’ll be back. I felt rushed and not welcome, and lied to by the end of the meal.

This review is coming as a regular customer of this gem of a spot! I know a few people are with me on this but LA actually has some pizza spots. It might have taken some time but I’d put LA up against the best of em. Now I’m not saying go to prince st. in downtown and expect what you’ll get in NYC. But LA being a melting pot of people you’re bound to get the folks who are from these places and because they are in LA these niche items can explode in popularity. Look at “Detroit-style” pizza being a thing. (I’m from the mitten so I know). You’ll pay three times more than in Detroit but sometimes you get homesick.
Back to the point, Cosa Buona is a sleeper and a neighborhood favorite. My go-to is the pepperoni pizza with a side of Calabrian chilis, a chopped salad, and if I’m feeling crazy, cheese sticks that are out of this world, wings, or meatballs.
If you’re here for a dodgers game and want to be a little out of the madness and eat some of the best pizza in LA, then look no further.
P.s. got the cheese cake. You should too
