What a friendly and delicious gem! I hoped to try a Oaxacan restaurant in LA while we were visiting as I don't see many where I live but love mole. I saw this restaurant pop up as a 10 min. walk from Sony Picture Studios where we were doing a tour. Actually parking was easily available and we could have driven as well. Our server was incredibly warm and friendly and we chatted about our visit and her recommendation. We had a black mole burrito and a red mole plate, both were delicious and flavorful. Service was pretty quick and we all loved it as a nice simple place to try Oaxacan food. I definitely recommend it!

A true gem and gift to the Westside. This family owned and operated eatery uses family recipes that have been handed down for generations—most are pre-Hispanic originating in Oaxaca. Many of the ingredients are imported from Oaxaca, Mexico and it comes through as you bite into the food and savor every bite.

My husband and I found this place randomly and I'm so glad we did. We went on Sat, 7/19 late in the afternoon and it was empty. We met the family who owns, runs and cooks, father Julio was lovely. Oaxacan food is my favorite Mexican food so I had high hopes. We got some asada street tacos, guac and chips and on their daughter's recommendation (sorry, forgot her name) the red mole which was exceptional. The tacos came with a slightly spicy side of jalapeno beans. For drinks, we both chose pineapple mixed with fruit juice, it was light and fresh tasting, not overly sweet or cloying. We'll definitely be back, more people should know and support this family-run gem!

Maybe it’s not the fanciest Mexican restaurant, but man, the flavor of the food is just amazing.
