Oh God, LA. Another spot TikTok swears is life-changing. And then you go… and it’s fine. Not bad. Just fine. You know, the kind of “fine” where you start wondering if everyone else’s taste buds are running PR for social media.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not terrible. But it’s also not “wait in line for 45 minutes and post a selfie by the sign” amazing. You can get the same bagel with more toppings and less existential waiting at your local hole-in-the-wall for half the price (side note: there was a girl in line having a meltdown btw but that b was gonna get her damn bagel haha).
It’s a cute spot, sure. But here’s the thing: everywhere in LA is cute. That’s the problem. We’ve hit peak aesthetic saturation. And as a foodie, “cute” doesn’t feed me. I want flavor, not just vibes.
Now, to be fair, the quality of the bagel itself? Solid. That burnt crisp on the edges… I like that. That’s character. But the topping-to-bagel ratio was off. I had more dough than flavor (not enough citrus), which just turns the whole thing into a glorified carb delivery system. And I’m not saying pile on the toppings, but let’s meet somewhere in the middle, yeah? Balance. That’s the art of a great bagel.
It was packed, though. Hipsters upon hipsters. Couples. Hipster couples. Born again hipsters.
Would I come back? Maybe. I’d give it another shot. But let’s just say… the first time didn’t exactly make me a believer.

Say what you will but this is, without a doubt, the best bagel place in LA. And yes, it’s worth the wait. I’ve now been here around 10 times and miss them so damn much when they’re closed! Try anything - everything is delicious!

This is my first time writing a 1 star review. The food is okay, super messy. The worst part is the super long wait time.
A super famous bagel spot! I’d heard for a long time that people wait in line for hours, so I hadn’t been able to try it until now. I even tried going early in the morning a few times, but it always happened to be on a Wednesday — the day they’re closed — so I kept missing out. I finally got to try it this time, and now I understand why it’s worth the wait. I went right when they opened, so there was no line, and I relaxed in my car for a bit before going in. Still, the food took longer than expected, and I ended up running late for work — but honestly, it was totally worth it. I definitely want to come back and try other bagels. Such a feel-good place

About a 15-minute wait the Saturday morning we went.
The star for me was the burnt everything bagels. The different sandwiches (we had two different halves) were flavorsome with clearly fresh produce.
Taking a star off for the wait and the wait and the price point… it doesn’t represent good value.

It is unfortunately with all the hype 🥲 sad I don’t live in state to get to experience this all the time. One thing I don’t understand is when the line gets busy someone comes to write down your order but it doesn’t make it any quicker by starting your order.. you still have to take the slip they give you and give it to the cashier and then they start the food.. why would the person taking the orders put your order in to start it??

Expect to eat on the street sidewalk. The bagels were delicious more than I expected. A bit pricey but the meal was delicious. I got arrived at a good time where I didn't encounter any lines but after a,while noticed it got crowded. Even the plain bagel. I got was mind blowing

Good but the cashier line isn’t even the problem, it’s waiting for your order that takes too long. Other bagel spots are just as busy or even busier and takes 1/4 of the time it does here.

Top three bagels I've ever had. The toppings were solid but not NY quality fish (or quantity). But the bagel itself. Outstanding.
Bagels were delicious. That’s coming from a native New Yorker who sharply judges out-of-state bagels. Crispy outside, soft inside. A little lighter than the traditional Polish-style NY bagel. Pricey for what it is.
Atmosphere… it’s fend for yourself child-size seats and tables on the sidewalk. I struggle to credit what’s supposed to be and is the public walkway as a restaurant’s “atmosphere,” but when that’s the only seating, I suppose it’s part of the deal.
Bagels are definitely tasty enough to go back, best I’ve had in LA. Staff at the counter were very friendly.

Bagels are amazing. I wish they had sitting inside. You'll stand in line for a while but the food is totally worth it.

Wow. You really have to pick your time to come here because you’ll be waiting in a line for a while if you don’t choose wisely!
With that aside, the weight is worth it! My first time here and I will be back just ridiculously delicious. Take on the humble bagel! Great coffee, and great service
The only reason I give it a 4 atm is because the only option is to eat outside and I’m not a super fan of that How much prefer air-conditioned indoors and this is an option
Still HIGHLY recommend this, and I will be back regularly!

Aside from the wait during some visits, this place is pretty great. Flavors are amazing and fresh.

I really enjoyed dining here. The food was top quality, with flavors that were bold yet balanced. The staff was professional and courteous, always making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. The environment was clean and stylish, creating a relaxing setting for the evening. Every dish felt carefully crafted, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

Best bagel in LA. Hands down. Worth the wait. Worth the money. Be prepared to wait in line and then wait another 20 for your bagel.
