Nice minimal spot with good food. The labneh and fig toast is pretty simple, but also good. Avocado toast, and esp the breakfast burrito are more hearty.

I came around 11 am in hopes to make a quick stop before meeting a beloved friend. Catching up on life errands as life goes on.

The location is located at the corner of streets. Street parking is conveniently available. I ordered a decaf latte and have been struck by the busy ebs and flows of people. It’s a wonderful area to get into deep conversation with friends.

There are a few outlets here and there if you need a place to study.

The menu features brunch options that I hope to try another time!
The space is cozy.
I can tell the place built up a supportive community of regulars.
I’m grateful for this

I'm going to review this from a very individual perspective given that I am vegan coming here to hopefully eat a vegan meal.

Found this place looking for a vegan spot in downtown. Saw it was vegetatian and eh what the hell. I arrived to the cutest little place. Parking was a bit hard. I had been wanting to come here before but ultimately chose another location strictly because of traffic. Today i Found a meter across the street.

Came in and the person at the counter Patty is the loveliest person ever. I asked for vegan options, she informed me there werent many but gave me a rundown of what can be made vegan. I ultimately wanted chilaquiles, asked for a hummus sub and she generously added avocado.

The chilaquiles? Delicious. Spicy w the onions. Mua.

Why 4 stars? Well two simple reasons, parking situation and the limited vegan options. Look i know parking is infair but look, it was mostly bc of vegan options just didnt want to be snotty

Also: it is vegetarian and i was informed there were meat options off menu which tbh was not fond of, i mean i get it but because of the limited vegan options, i was distraught.

All in all, if it weren't advertised as vegetarian, I would have given this spot 5 stars.

Patty saved the day. Look maybe it should be 5 stars just bc of patty, maybe if they add a vegan option ill come back and leave a 5 star.

Thanks so much for a wonderful time Cow Cafe

Walked in and no one acknowledged me. Was confused on what to do. Do I order at the front or?! Went to the front the lady with the Afro didn’t even look at me. I stood in front of her trying to look at the menu and catch her attention but she ignored me. Even sat down for a good 5 minutes and still no acknowledgment. Decided to leave because I never want to be treated that way. The atmosphere wasn’t friendly. Ended having a greater experience down the street at @Bluestone Lane Cafe at Moxy Hotel. Would recommend!

Plastic shame. Coffee: 5 stars. Planet: 0 stars. No reusable cups? Come on, it’s 2025. No matter how good the coffee is, it’s feels awful drinking from these flimsy wasteful cups. If Starbucks can serve in a ceramic mug, why can’t you?

Lucky I stumbled upon this place! Their chai had great spice and flavor to it, and the Avocado Toast was delicious. The only thing is they could work on their timing a bit. 30min is too long of a wait time for Avocado Toast.

Such a perfect spot for breakfast! I was on vacation in L.A., and this was actually the first place where I truly felt the California vibe — laid-back, sunny, and full of good energy. Everything here just feels right: the food, the people, and the atmosphere.

The menu offers that ideal mix of flavor and freshness — everything tastes amazing but still feels light and wholesome. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients and balance. I ordered a couple of dishes during my visits, and each one was beautifully presented and full of flavor without being heavy. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good after you eat — classic California style.

The staff were super friendly, relaxed, and attentive without being overbearing — exactly what you want on a slow L.A. morning. The café is located right in the heart of the city, which makes it perfect for both locals grabbing a quick bite before work and tourists looking for that first taste of the California lifestyle.

Prices are totally fair for what you get — great quality, generous portions, and an overall experience that feels worth every penny. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting L.A. or even locals who want to start their day with some good vibes, healthy food, and that signature California sunshine energy.

Cute place with a simple menu for a quick bite! They got part of my order wrong (they asked if I wanted salt and pepper on my avocado and I said 'no', but they still added it). It was minor, but just a note to them to improve their service.
