This is such an intimate, deliciously authentic, and wonderful dining experience. We planned a trip around dining at Da Barbara because we heard such amazing things! It was SO worth it! We absolutely will be back with friends!

Barbara makes everything homemade in her intimate Italian dining experience. Service is very attentive and thoughtful. Every bite was delicious. We brought a bottle of champagne to accompany our meal.

Dining at Barbara’s feels just like being at home; warm, intimate, and authentically Italian. The host welcomes you with genuine charm and cooks right in front of her guests, turning every dish into a personal experience. The food is traditional, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. Be sure to book ahead and try as many dishes as you can, it’s absolutely worth it! Not a budget spot, but every bite justifies the price

Wow wow wow! This place is a secret gem in the heart of Hollywood serving up the most delicious Italian food I have ever had! Chef Barbara is unreal what she does with food. Her heart and soul is poured into each dish that makes you feel like you have traveled to this romantic spot in Italy and the most sense full flavors and smells. The service here is nothing short of a Michelin restaurant. Thank you for a amazing meal and a such a memorable experience I can’t wait to be back!

We’ve been going to Da Barbara since it’s opening a couple of years ago and it’s by far the best Italian restaurant in town.

When we tried her stuffed pastas, we convinced ourselves there was a tiny grandma from Bologna hidden somewhere in the kitchen.

Her sea bass is divine. The filet is to die for and even the simplest of dishes, the tagliolini al pomodoro is somehow elevated to pure bliss.

Bring your own wine as their wine license is currently pending.

Go now before she gets a couple of Michelin stars and then you won’t be able to get a table…

Wanted to end my trip in LA with a great Italian restaurant and this one is definitely one of the best I’ve experienced in my life. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful and lovely. We loved the open kitchen concept and not too many tables/customers in the room. I’m looking forward to my next trip in LA to comeback to Da Barbara.

If I could bottle up the feeling of home and serve it on a plate, it would taste exactly like Da Barbara. From the moment I walked in, I knew this wasn’t just another restaurant. It’s the kind of place that wraps you in warmth before you even sit down.

The vibe is cozy, intimate, effortlessly authentic. You feel like you’ve been invited into someone’s Italian home rather than dining out. The ingredients are only the highest quality. You can literally taste the difference in every bite. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels pretentious, just pure flavor made with love.

This is a hidden gem I wish I could keep to myself, but it’s too good not to share. I’d recommend it every single day. Honestly, nothing compares. Once you’ve been here, everywhere else feels like a compromise.

If you’re looking for that place where food feels like comfort and the atmosphere feels like family, Da Barbara it is!

I forgot to review this place when i went a few month ago but here i am, as it's never too late to do so...A unique experience and a must try menu. The ambiance and service is exceptional. A petite place but full of life. To the antipasti ,secondi , and or dolci, whatever it is you desire to try from the menu, I assure that you'll enjoy it. I was eager to try the cauliflower steak and i must say, it was my favorite dish of that night. This is a mouth watering excellence that delivers a variety of vibrant and worthy flavors to the taste buds. It felt like home and cooked by the chef herself( you could say right in front of you),it made the experience more special. A 10/10 worth recommending restaurant. I am grateful for this experience.

Homesick Italians in LA, we found this gem that made us feel at home. Barbara is an exceptional chef and person. We loved dining downstairs watching her cooking. Food is delicious, we had meat balls antipasti, super light, and a delicate and juicy Chilean sea bass. We could have ordered all items on the menu! We ended with a glorious panda cotta with berries compote. Loved it!

I was very lucky that our party was able to get a seat at Da Barbara's kitchen. Having supper in the chef's private studio apartment is an experience one doesn't come across often. THE PASTA WAS AMAZING!!!!

From our seats, we could see the chef working in her actual kitchen, crafting each dish with care and artistry. It felt personal, special—like we were being welcomed into her world.

Now the food… where do I begin? Everything we tried was outstanding, but the gnocchi was, hands down, the best I’ve ever had—pillowy soft, delicately flavored, and practically melted on the tongue. The meatballs - there's nothing like them! The short ribs were rich and tender and the filet was perfectly cooked and FULL of flavor.

The entire evening felt like a rare find—one of those places you hesitate to tell too many people about because you want to keep it just as magical as it is.

Highly, highly recommend if you're lucky enough to get a reservation.
