Went here once, both my boyfriend and I had upset stomachs. Bf went again, he had another upset stomach. We have eaten ramen plenty of times. The vegetarian ramen/ hygiene in general might leave something to be desired.

Honestly not sure what the line out the door is for, the soup and noodles were BLAND, the service was pretty good but that’s about it. Definitely not returning.

Worst tsukemen I’ve ever had in my life. Saw a cockroach crawl across the bar as I was eating. People sitting next to me were watching TikToks with the volume turned all the way up the whole time I was eating while the inattentive staff stood there next to them. Absolute dump.

I’ve been coming here for so many years, the foods are always tasty and the staffs are friendly. It’s a fun and comfortable place to hang out without dressing up.

I don’t dislike it. This kind of tonkatsu is not for me. It’s not as creamy or porky as the other places I’ve visited. Competition in Sawtelle sets a high bar. The taste of beansprout water somehow made it into the broth, which I disliked. Other than my own preference for how tonkatsu ramen is prepared, quality is good.

The ramen + rice combo was more than I can handle. Be warned.

Interior decoration was cool.

Edit: I returned a second time to try their chicken shoyu ramen, which they advertise as an exclusive menu item at this location. They went heavy on the trifecta of aromatics and soup base. You can really taste the garlic, onions, and umami.

As for toppings, it includes a lot of cooked green onions, but 4 slivers of bamboo shoots, and 2 slices of chicken. Nori was served in plastic? Meh.

Not bad, but not for me.

Highly recommended. I would absolutely come back. Honestly... I might even die for this place (kidding but not really lol).

I love this place so much. The vibe inside is super unique, cozy, and really creative. They designed it to feel like you are eating ramen on the streets of Japan, and they nailed it. The space is small and the walkways are narrow, but that just adds to the experience. It feels authentic and fun. I was so excited when I walked in. The service is also really friendly, which just makes everything better.

As for the food — I got the Daikoku ramen and it was amazing. The broth is rich, the meat is tender, and the flavors are balanced perfectly. I have been to a ton of ramen spots, and this one is easily one of my favorites.

If you are even thinking about it, just go. You will not regret it.

Place was AMAZING!!!!! Workers had good customer service. Food came out very quickly. Staff were really good looking too (good show to watch while eating). Me and my friends really enjoyed this place.

Food is mid , ramen was hella salty

Service was wack
space/seating is so limited it’s not enjoyable

It’s all hype …the service was worse then the one in monteray park

Only highlight was free parking

My new favorite ramen place. Best flavor and texture, the add-ons are great, and a huge diverse menu. In addition to the ramen, I love the cold noodle salad. The atmosphere is unique (like an Asian street scene), the servers are attentive and polite, and the price is right.

Maybe too much reliance on AI Yelp reservation system? Servers might be reliant on AI automation and might not have checked customers on the list and having situational awareness of customers waiting outside and there are empty seats in the house? The wait was over 1hr in Sunday evening, and can recommend to just book on yelp ahead of time and wait for the system to ping you to come in. Once inside server took order rather quickly and food came out in a timely manner. What was odd was one of the few times wasn’t offered water. Love the texture of the noodles and will have to come back to see if there are improvements to the service as that Sunday May 4th 2025 might have been a one off day front of house was a let down?
