Dave's Hot Chicken your reaper chicken sandwich was by far the hottest chicken sandwich I’ve had good taste but the aftertaste hit me hard I was crying so hard my mouth was on fireeeeeee 😬😳👀😦🥴 good thing I got extra hot sandwich was delish as well your fries wow!!! It has a BBQ taste that’s so not beatable compared to the fries in town dang! I rate you 5/5 your heat to your most hottest is 11/10 whew! 😰 definitely will come back! To munch on some more! The plain chicken was exactly that no flavor at all fries were good . Place was very very dirty trash cans over flowing in bathrooms no toilet paper filthy floors in dining area . Place smelled of weed . I’ve been to cleaner and less ghetto Popeyes . Definitely won’t be back

Sad and disappointing food read everything pretty much about a five out of 10. Lack of sauce, lack of seasoning on the french fries the coleslaw, lack of sauce, weakfry sauce. My friend who’s been to one in the past she even said this was sad looking. new location just opened up. I will go back to try the other items but so far not a very good experience.

Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Way better than KFC and Popeyes combined. Although it sucks the closest one to me is 45 Minutes away would be nice to have a Dave’s around Columbus area in Southern Indiana we all got the same stuff around here we need something different. More Dave’s locations across Southern Indiana would be a hit. Us people in Southern Indiana love some good chicken. But i highly recommend Dave’s they know what they’re doing here

I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype!
Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work.
Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her!
Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation.
Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. It was still good though.

I have been frequenting this location for some time over the years. And on 11/7/24, I had the most incredible hot chicken meal I've ever had (#4: 1 slider + fries)
Previously, I've tried Stark's, Main Chick & Howlin' Ray's but this location has proven to me that Dave's is now the reigning champ of LA hot chix in my book. Couldn't believe how juicy the white meat was. Seasoned perfectly with acidity balanced from the slaw + pickles, the flavor profile of the entire meal was fire.
Service was exceptional. Rodolfo was my order-taker while a female co-worker addressed my questions afterwards. She mentioned that 2 people were in charge of prep that day but was unable to confirm who had done it that day. Whomever it was, they know how to brine a chicken to perfection. I hope the gurus at corporate read this so they can copy exactly what was done here that day for my meal.
I left a $20 cash tip as a token of my appreciation. My one critique would be that the staff should be trained to bring the tip jar to the customer so that they can drop the cash into the jar directly rather than hand it to a worker first. I understand why the jar needs to be kept away from slippery hands but it just feelsbad to not be able to put a tip into the jar myself. After a customer tips, simply put the jar back up on the shelf. This is what you call a win-win. Anyways, thanks again for the bangin' meal. Ya'll deserved it.

Foods nasty anyone who thinks their food is worth eating is probably someone who throws a frozen pizza in the oven and thinks they can cook. What a waste of a location in Davenport Iowa. Close the place down already
