Cozy cafe inside the Delphi building. It is open to guests and visitors alike. I tried their Black Dalia which are 2 French toast with whipped butter and raspberries. It is very sweet and the French toast itself is very fluffy and soft. They gave me a seat 30 mins before they close which is nice. Great place for breakfast.

Hidden in the back of the Delphi building, these cool diner has some good food! We walked over from our hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find a classic diner in a modern building. If you enter on Flower, take a quick right thru the lobby, past the front desk to find the diner in the back of the lobby.
The service was fast, and the waitresses were friendly. We got coffee, and they serve it to you in a French press! Talk about strong!
Our food came out in record time! But it was fresh and all our dishes were as advertised! There is a full bar as well.

Had breakfast here. The place had an old school diner feel. They bring you your own French press for coffee which I thought was a cool touch.

A very cute place with the authentic feel of a classic diner, but with a modern twist. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is welcoming, and they serve the largest coffee I’ve ever had! :)

Nice looking diner. Good value for money. Food is a little bland but there are a variety of hot sauces etc to help with flavour. Large portions.

Waited a long time for water and a waiter.
Order arrived quickly but nothing was hot. Some warm but some not. Pancakes were late and arrived after all other food was consumed
Never got the promised 2nd bottle of water
Poor service

Good food, great prices, helpful and friendly staff. This cafe is attached to what seems like a pretty nice off-brand hotel. Oh and the French Press Coffee was outstanding.

I visited this establishment for breakfast and was pleased to find the menu items fairly priced, with a hearty meal of eggs, sausages, hash browns, and toast listed at $18. The food was pretty good, and the coffee was excellent; however, I wasn’t expecting to pay as much when the bill came. I didn’t notice the coffee price but assumed it would be just as reasonable, expecting my total to be around $20 plus tax. When the bill arrived, it was nearly $28. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the coffee, which turned out to be French press, cost $6, and there was also a 5% ADMINISTRATIVE SURCHARGE. They do give you the whole French press, which is good for about four cups, but the price still caught me off guard.
When I inquired about the administrative surcharge, the waitress, who was very helpful and friendly, stated it was to cover the restaurants extra expenses. She suggested that I could simply take it out of her tip. I refused to do that; it wasn’t her fault that the management decided to implement such a deceptive practice. Ultimately, she was able to remove the admin fee and I ended up tipping her a good amount plus the administrative fee to ensure she wasn't penalized for the restaurant’s choices.
Still, I felt it should have been disclosed upfront, especially considering the high coffee price. It seems like a sneaky tactic that many might overlook. In today’s economy, we need to be vigilant about these hidden charges that businesses often impose, thinking they can get away with it without any pushback. It's frankly frustrating, and I won’t be returning. Run a transparent business when it concerns my money and you will likely see me again. Try to take my money for nothing and this $1.20 cost you a lot more. I stay across the street at the Weston 3 times a week on my layover for my job and I wont be back at your restaurant.

While exploring downtown LA, we decided to give Denae’s Diner a try — but unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark.
👉 Parking? A Headache!
There’s no on-site parking — it’s valet only, and they don’t validate, which means you’re stuck paying $15+ just to park. Definitely not budget-friendly!
🍴 The Food? Meh.
After waiting a few minutes, we got seated. The menu had potential, but sadly, the dishes we tried were just average at best. Nothing that made us go “wow” or feel like it was worth the price.
💵 Not Worth the Splurge
Between the parking fee, the underwhelming food, and the extra charges, this stop just didn’t feel worth it.
👎 We won’t be returning — there are way better spots in DTLA with good vibes and better value.
