Absolutely beautiful dining experience with delicious food, loved the pancakes small but have subtle flavor that's sneaks up on you leaving you wanting more along with their fries. Good place for breakfast.

A diner inside a hotel which is very convenient. Food was decent and they serve French pressed coffee which is always welcomed.

Not only is the food delicious, but the service is incredible - Hasan's management and Rachel and Chris' friendliness made us feel welcome and at home in Denae's, with delicious breakfast favourites and exciting breakfast cocktails. The al-fresco patio is private and away from the street, providing quiet and serenity in what is otherwise be a loud and bustling DTLA. We loved our breakfast experience and will definitely come again - thanks Hasan and team!

I had an experience similar to the 1-star reviews below. After finishing our meal, our server (youngish blonde lady who was working at around noon on Sept. 21, 2024) came to ask "How are you paying?" so I take out my credit card. She takes my card, and using her handheld payment terminal, she quickly charges my card without showing or telling me the total bill. Then, she only shows me the screen for me to select the tip percentage. As I didn't suspect anything at the time, I selected 20% and signed using the terminal. She didn't hand me a receipt. She then went to the back room and never came out again while we were there. I grew more and more suspicious as time passed, so I checked my credit card account later in the day, and lo and behold, I was charged $80.70 for a meal that could not have been more than ~$60 with tip included (we ordered one Caesar salad, one Griffith biscuit & gravy, one LA "BREA", and one Americano). My guess is that she targets tourists (I am a US citizen but look "foreign" and speak another language). I'm seriously considering filing a police report just so they have a record of this incident, as the other 1-star reviews seem to suggest this isn't a one-time occurrence. This restaurant (or this employee in particular) is doing some shady business practice. Terrible experience.

Breakfast was terrible, service was bad, rude servers and they overcharge when giving you the bill, it does not match what you order. Don’t waste your money there you will definitely feel bad later on.

This place is the most vibey diner you’ll ever see. I came here for a late dinner while traveling and it was everything I needed - quiet enough for a single traveler (on a weekend at 8pm), open late, super friendly service, and yummy food. I got the chicken pot pie, which was yummy & a tad messy with all the flaky goodness, and the banana cream pie to-go. Everything was solid, but my favorite part was just the vibes!

This place is awesome. Walk into the Delphi hotel lobby and through to your left, you’ll find this somewhat hidden gem.

I walked in and it took me less than 30 seconds to get seated by a friendly server. He let me have the pick of the place, as it was less busy as it was a Monday evening.

When you sit, you feel as though you’re in an elevated diner. There are large glass windows looking out to the courtyard if you’re up for a private, yet outdoorsy setting.

I chose to be a hermit inside though haha. I ordered the Delphi Double Smash burger and was so happy I did. In n Out ain’t got nothin on this place! It’s a similar smash burger idea, just executed better. The caramelized onions are a perfect touch as well. I ordered mine with tater tots which were cooked to a perfectly delicious brown crisp. I was also served a pickle spear. When I tasted it, I know it wasn’t just your run of the mill pickle. My server confirmed my suspicion and I was right! They make their own pickles in house!

The bartender let me taste a drink they were straw testing and I couldn’t believe how good it was! Who knew two ingredients could complement each other so well! I’m not giving away his secret, but if you’d like what I’m talking about, just ask him for his “Summer Crack” drink! Haha. I loved it!

It’s always strange traveling alone and eating in a restaurant by yourself. These guys made me feel right at home and I really appreciated it.

Bottom line, if you’re looking for elevated diner fare, look no further. If you’re looking for super friendly and attentive service, go nowhere else. If you’re looking for a pretty cool playlist that is at the perfect volume to still hear it but not drown out conversation, you found it!

When traveling, I try not to repeat the restaurants I visit, but it may not be possible for me this time around. I kind of want to come back here for breakfast tomorrow, but we’ll see!

10/10 recommend.

The food was good, but it was not worth the $67.00+ tip(just saying) for 3 items and 2 regular coffees
All items are a lcarte.

The last day of vacation, I had one of the best bartenders ever! Paulo was attentive, friendly, patient, and accommodating. Not only was he extremely kind/helpful with me, but I witnessed him taking great care of other customers. He deserves a raise! I felt really welcomed in addition to receiving my food quickly and the establishment being beautiful. I will be returning!
