They don't bring you the bill. They just asked how I wanted to pay. Never saw what was in the bill. They the server asked for tip 18% 25% or 30%. I am not going back to this place

The red head waitress made sure we had an unpleasant experience. We simply asked hashbrowns be swapped and didn’t care about paying she insisted it sit on our table tried to redeem herself with a comp but the eye rolls and arguing over a hashbrown was enough. My friends & I felt she didn’t deserve a tip so I paid by scanning and she caused a whole scene taking our receipt to every other server and pointing at us. As I was leaving the hotel I stopped to talk to the front desk in private she followed us out causing more scene. We were all servers so it hurt no to leave her a tip but it was undeserved. I hope she reads this and treats others better

Great place to have brunch until late. Love having a diner option late in downtown. Food was good and prices are reasonable. I had the chilaquiles and I was pleased. For brunch there’s loud music so bring friends to drink

A gem! Easy approachable breakfast. We had to eat and run but we’re definitely coming back next time we’re in LA.

A cute little diner stashed away inside The Delphi. We went for a quick brunch. The atmosphere is great, calming and homey, and the servers were very polite and apt. The food was okay. My mom enjoyed the chicken sandwich. I had the English breakfast which was filling, but basic. I was interested in the Grilled Avocado, but it came out as normal and not grilled at all...It was still an enjoyable time, we will definitely be back to try lunch and dinner.

A really impressive and delicious diner! I go to a new diner every weekend and this has been one of the better ones I’ve tried in months. It’s located on the ground floor in the lobby of the Delphi Hotel in DTLA. I love the design on the inside, it’s in between retro and modern and has a chic look to it. It’s a sort of place you’ll want to stay a while, something in between a trendy coffee shop and an updated California diner. Our server was polite and all of our items came out fairly quickly. It took a bit to get our check but that’s to be expected because there was only one server working this morning. They have valet parking for the hotel behind the building for $20 or you can do what I did which was find metered street parking a block away. The other option in between these two would be a parking garage for around $8 or $10.They are fairly new, but you would not know that from how well everything went today. I decided to start my meal with coffee and was delighted when they brought over a large and full French press, which has about three refills in it. For my meal, I chose one of the specials of the day which was the Eggs Benedict. The wilted spinach on the bottom was almost sweet and very good. It allowed me to soak up all the hollandaise. I also added chili and cheese to my hashbrowns on the side and would recommend to anyone to do the same. They also added caviar on top for a great combination. For the end of the meal, we split a Banana Pudding and it was honestly really great. There were pieces of banana bread on the bottom, and it really tasted homemade versus some store-bought recipe. I would highly recommend ordering it.Overall, it’s slightly more expensive than other places, but still not over the top, especially for a hotel breakfast. I was honestly very impressed and plan to be back in the near future. I would recommend to any fan of diners or anyone looking for a great breakfast spot downtown.Parking: valet for $20 or paid street parking

My daughter and I are foodies so scrolling thru Open Table for a Good Breakfast spot we found Denae's. The ambience was nice but the service was the worst service I have ever received. First it took 20 mins to place our order. We ordered mimosa we watched the bartender make them but they set at the bar for 15mins before. I had to go get them because the server was all over the place. Then we received our order , I the Grand slam and it comes with toast I ask the server to scratch the toast and just give me the pancakes. She bring out 1 cold pancake no butter no syrup. So when I told the server we wanted the stack she left the 1 cold pancake and put in an order for two more which took 10mins that's when we got the butter and syrup. I also ordered Mac n cheese w/ brisket that was served without the Brisket. That had to be remade. After receiving our food we never saw the server again. She never once checked to see if we needed anything, if our food was good. Nothing! My daughter wanted to order key lime pie to go but the server was no where to be found. I got up and went to the restroom and on my way back in and to my table I see the server on the phone at the podium. We waited a few more moments for her to come and give us our check after 15 mins I had to get up and go ask her for our check. We spent more time waiting for her than we did eating. Very poor service provided. No one stepped up to help. We will never go back.

Food was decent. Not worth the price for the neighborhood where you can find cheaper/better options. Maybe we went on an off night, but we were one of three tables and the service was slow, the food was cold upon arrival, the order had (minor) errors, and it was just an overall odd experience. Decor was interesting and the hotel lobby was stunning. The shakes were TINY, which was disappointing for a diner.

First of all, I'm late. I didn't know they closed the Standard in dtla. Anywho, it was revamped into "The Delphi" Inside that hotel is Denaes Diner. Parking is Dtla style... parking lot up to $20 or if you enter off Flower, the underground is $15. We parked underground and took the elevator up. Once we got to the entrance, yellow umbrellas and decor to the right caught my eye. They have an adorable outdoors patio. The aesthetic gave me whimsical old school. Fast forward. Sat down with my guests and we noticed coffee stains and cup rings in the table. It looks like the tables were wiped down with water after each guest. Soap and water is needed for that table. The menu was modest with sandwich combos and a la carte breakfast items. $5 Mimosas... Cool. I ordered the turkey club on pretzel bun and I asked for pickles. My guest ordered the black dahlia and (1) egg for $3. Turkey sandwich, good. Fries nicely seasoned. The black dahlia was savoryyyy, you do not need the syrup. It was a small portion for $14 and included no side. When our order was placed at the table, the waitress asked "will you be ordering anything else?" We looked at each other and replied "maybe" she replied, " we'll, I'm off at 3 and wanted to know if you would like to close it or transfer the bill." I pulled out my phone and it read 2:52pm. I said, "transfer it." I mean cmon! You just sat my food down now I have to close out?! She leaves. No one else checks on us after. I have to wave someone down and they thought I was asking for the check and I said , no, please come help us. I asked for a mimosa and waited another 10 mins while the bartender rolled her when given the order. I was mad! It was only 6 tables occupied the rest of the place was empty. The other waitress with the bun, walked past our table and rolled her eyes when we mentioned the lack of service provided to our table. Why is the service slacking and attitude being served? The DJ was cool, iBRrease. He kept the RnB songs going. I may order the black dahlia to go but I probably won't return. Oh! They charge a 5% administrative fee and $1.25 for pickles on the sandwich. The manager, Patrick, came after I requested mgmt and spoke with us and had a conversation about the cleanliness of the tables and the staffs attitudes. He credited our mimosas and gave a round.

Highly recommended. The Denae's Slam is so good. The doctored up hash browns were great. The only negative was that the sausage was a little overcooked. The$5.00 Bloody Mary's were VERY tasty! Our server, Carla, was very pleasant and thorough. Thanks, Carla.

Absolutely one of our favorites on this trip. Cute inside. Very attentive staff, although we had empty shake glasses sitting on the table for quite awhile. Inside the Delphi
