We arrived at 10:30 pm and were notified that the kitchen was closed, which is weird since they close at 12:00 am, but we decided to stay for the hookah. We got our hookah around 10:50 pm and stayed until 11:20 pm, when the worker came and rudely told us that they were officially closed and that we needed to leave. If we had known they would be closing sooner than the time they had posted, we would have gone elsewhere. Feels like we were scammed; we couldn't even finish the slices of cake we ordered. I would not recommend coming here late night you might get kicked out early.

Really really really weird vibe, the hummus was delicious and the service was great BUT the vibes were off and the pita was NOT GOOD and felt like it came from Costco???? It was bargain bin pita but the hummus was really good and creamy and if it was paired with a better pita it woulda a lot higher food wise. Oh and they really have a HUGE rose on that patio which is p chill imo

To the owner your place and manger needs to be fired he very rude! And no respect I wouldn't ever eat here again u know anyone that as a right mind should not want to eat here! Bunch of bigotry and probably over priced your food because I'm gay racist?

Came for brunch on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. We had the veggie Benedict and Blue Crab Cake Benedict. The flavors were gentle but distinct. I loved the sweet/spicy sauce the was on the crab cake along with the Hollandaise sauce.

My favorite neighborhood spot. The glow of the giant rose is cool, the drinks are original and the menu is vast but everything is good. Knowledgeable and kind staff as well as great vibes and atmosphere.

Terrible service! Went here on Valentine’s Day with my partner. We had a reservation at 9, showed up right on time. Right away we felt like the entire staff was looking at us and judging us. They sat us down and handed us two menus, the regular one and one specifically for Valentine’s Day. The hostess explicitly told us we could order from either one. Then 30 minutes (not an exaggeration, I literally kept track) passed and no one approached us at all. Not even to give us water. They wouldn’t even look in our direction. Meanwhile, all of the couples around us that had arrived after us were getting served right away. I don’t think they ever would have come up to our table if I hadn’t literally waved them down to ask them to take our drink orders. The place wasn’t busy at all. The waiter comes up and doesn’t even apologize for or acknowledge the fact that we’ve been waiting more than half an hour to even order drinks. Then we try to order food from the regular menu but he tells us that we actually can only order from the Valentine’s Day menu which is $75 per person. Literally no one told us this. Not the hostess, not the person on the phone when I made the reservations, no one. So we decided to leave because I was already fed up and didn’t want to pay them $75 per person for their terrible service. The waiter was quick to rush us out the door without an apology at all. I felt like this was intentional and discriminatory as none of the straight couples around us were being treated this way and there was a condescending “you’re not welcome here” atmosphere with the staff from the moment we arrived. Anyways, we went to Tu Madre right down the street and had great food and great service!

It's an amazing place. I feel at home here. The staff is very caring. Samir is a shisha master. Be sure to rely on him for that - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Valentine's Day 2024: After the spa, we wanted to eat Valentine's Day dinner close by. Called The Desert Rose and surprisingly they had plenty of openings. Facility: The ambiance was great. Romantic lighting outside on the patio. There is a smoking section for Hookah. Tables were clean and bathrooms were clean. Parking: they have valet but we parked on the street. Service: Excellent. Our server and everyone we met eyes with was very welcoming. Where things went left: Food: So we weren't told the special "3-course Valentine's Day special was $75pp!!! Had we known that, we surely would have gone elsewhere. That's what we get for not asking. Now we know why they had space available. The menu was pre-selected. Corn chowder (4/5), cheese rolls (5/5), beef kabob (4/5), Spinach Ravioli (3/5), cheesecake (4/5), chocolate cake (4/5). I would come back again for a non pre-selected menu.
