Being able to choose between two different chorizo breakfast burritos is what dreams are made of!! Service is always 10/10 here and I love this little gem in DTLA!

Stepping into this established local treasure is an immediate mood shift. The space is a vibrant tapestry, an explosion of marigold and turquoise that feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a warm, sun-drenched home. The low, pleasant murmur of conversation and the steady aroma of slow-cooked spices confirm you’ve found a neighborhood institution that operates with genuine heart.
The culinary performance truly begins with the breakfast staple: the chilaquiles. They arrived steaming, a generous mound of house-made corn chips that, crucially, retained the perfect al dente crunch despite being drenched in a deeply spiced, complex red salsa. This is a salsa that speaks of complexity, not just heat, with subtle, earthy notes of chile de árbol and perhaps a hint of smokiness. The queso fresco was expertly crumbled and perfectly salted, melting just enough to coat the dish without becoming gummy. It is a dish that manages to be hearty, comforting, and perfectly textured all at once.
To cut through the delightful richness of the plate, the horchata was a necessary and flawless companion. Served ice-cold in a tall glass, it struck a graceful balance—not sickly sweet—with clear, refreshing notes of cinnamon and a wonderfully smooth, milky finish.
Beyond the exceptional food, the experience is elevated by the staff. They operate with a genuine, unhurried kindness; our server was quick with refills and clearly proud of the food they were serving. It’s this combination of authentic cuisine, vibrant surroundings, and truly welcoming service that makes this spot feel so rare. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience, and I'm already anticipating my next return.

I normally pass by this place on my way to Starbucks— finally tried it and I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner. It brought me back to my grandmothers cooking — the taste is absolutely authentic and delicious! Portions are very generous , prices are amazing ! I got a steak with chilaquiles and eggs, my husband got a bacon breakfast burrito, and I ordered a caldo de res for my toddler! She absolutely loves this super flavorful nutritious soup, the food was absolutely delicious! The decor is beautiful and feels warm and welcoming! I will be ordering atleast once a week!

Ordered chilaquiles to go (parked right next to the restaraunt and ate them in my car fresh off the grill). It was like chilaquile soup!! :( don't get me wrong.. the flavors were there!! The crema, cheese, everything good!! But they put some much sauce that the bottom layer was all soggy. The top layer was yummy and crispy and couldn't eat 70% of it cause it was so mushy. I also ordered the eggs overhard.. they were sunny side up :( . Couldn't eat the eggs either cause I dislike a runny yolk. Hope they can improve the way they serve the food. Wasn't busy at all when I came in /: why so much sauce!! 😭

Came here for a quick, cheap bite and grabbed a huarache de asada with everything and my god, it was delicious. I pounded it down so quickly and downed my agua de jamaica. It cost me $14 and the customer service was great. Everyone there is so kind and patient.

their bacon breakfast burrito alone makes it worth a pitstop before work with it’s unreal homemade(?) tortilla. the colorful, expressive, “here, you’re home” vibe decor completes the experience with the warm friendly service. diner energy with the offer to refill your coffee before you head out. i liked the art and general buzz of workers like me picking up our breakfast here on the go. small establishment with endearing coffee pots on the order counter and the whole family in the kitchen. will definitely be back. thank you to the order counter guy for his kindness.
