A slice of genuine Mexico. Friendly staff, great patios, the food is decent and the margaritas quite good. Great to have this establishment in the area.

BEWARE Gave the 1 star because this use to be my favorite restaurant. The recent price gouge with smaller portions is the straw that broke the donkeys back. It's not only $1 increase, a lot of items increased by $2 or $3 with a significant smaller portion. $9 for a carne asada taco you can eat in one bite. Used to be $7. Food still taste good but only got 2 stars for smaller portions. Smaller portions all around. Beans and rice are smaller.
BEWARE Only your FIRST ROUND of chips and salsa is free now. Used to be endless free chips and salsa

This place is somewhat of a family tradition and I've been coming here for nearly 40 years now. I love the super burritos and homemade margaritas. Between the nostalgia and good food, Don Antonio's is definitely my favorite Mexican spot in LA.

I would have rated it higher, but we got our drinks, and the waiter kept coming back for our order while we were watching the game. 3x. So annoying. Then when finished, we said no desert, and he put the check on the table. He really wanted to get us out of there. Pork was very dry and crisp. Not tender at all in the burrito! I'll go elsewhere next time I'm in town.

Don Antonio’s is one of those rare places where food, history, and family come together effortlessly. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends. We sat in the cave, which created a warm and intimate atmosphere that felt like a big family gathering.
The history of this restaurant is present in every detail. It has been family-owned for generations, and you can feel that pride in both the food and the service. Adam, part of the third generation, was so gracious and attentive, carrying on a tradition built on heart and hospitality.
The food and drinks were unforgettable. The margaritas were truly some of the best I have ever had, and every plate was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. We had such a great time that the drinks were flowing and laughter filled the night, leaving me with only a few photos to share. I will definitely be back to add more to the collection.
Don Antonio’s is more than a restaurant. It is an experience, a piece of Los Angeles history, and a celebration of family tradition. With delicious food, incredible drinks, and hospitality that makes you feel at home, this is a place you will want to return to again and again.
