A surprisingly lovely find! I was with my nieces for an appointment with a Genius at Apple. The appointment took about an hour and after wandering around the very crowded Grove, (it was a gorgeous clear So Cal day!), we decided we were hungry and needed a ladies' room. We wanted a restaurant we have never been to. There aren't many of those at the Grove for us...we saw this small place with outdoor seating and an appealing menu. Edo Bites, it is, we decided! Inside we go... Bladders empty and hands washed, we were seated. Water was quickly served and we ordered the calamari & shrimp appetizer. First came soft, warm bread with butter. I ordered a margarita...it was blood orange, I think, and it was divine! The calamari & shrimp appetizer was a full platter of very lightly dusted seafood with a delicious marinara. I mean each bite was just delicious because the seafood really shown. No mouth full of breading. Just excellent, flavorful, shrimp and squid bites, really. Each of us got the 7oz steak with fries, sauce on the side. The fries were skinny, perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside. None of us finished those, but they were yummy. My nieces finished their steaks. I did not, so I took a to-go bag. The girls each had ice cream for dessert. I think it was vanilla. Not a single complaint about it. No dessert for me. The staff was attentive and very friendly for our entire visit. We enjoyed our leisurely, late lunch and promised to return. Next time, we think we want to try the burgers, (another table ordered them and they looked great)...so, it will be a minute. Can't eat that much red meat too consistently, imo. We had a heavenly experience though and I, personally, cannot wait to have that yummy margarita again. Thank you Edo Bites, for a lovely experience.

Food was really bad, what we see on the manu when came to our table was horrible looks like something make by kids 0 presentations, service was good, ambiance was ok, good music pretty place but food horrible if you looking for good Italian food don't go there

This place is awful. The food sucks and it's so ridiculously overpriced that it makes you laugh how bad the food is. I'm sad because laduree used to be here in its place

Went to the grove to hangout before Christmas, and we saw that this restaurant had a good view of the big tree. We decided to have dinner here and were pleased with our experience. I ordered a tequila based cocktail which was pretty good, nothing too special, but refreshing. For my main dish I ordered their chicken sandwich, which was also pretty good, just a little bit overpriced for a sandwich, despite that we did enjoy our experience here, especially because we had the best view of the grove tree.

Unsatisfied experience on Christmas Eve. I understand Christmas is busy, but you have same number of tables as usual, right? Sit for 25min until someone gives us water, wait for 55min until the food finally comes. The server never comes back after taking the order and has bad attitude. Only one waitress(not our server) cares about our order status and check frequently with kitchen. I don't understand why a simple pasta would take such a long time and it's worthless, seriously, I can make the food by myself with 1/10 of the price.

went late at night on a saturday and the server Agustin was so great! he made us feel at home and was very prompt with attention and service. Food was super good and did not feel heavy even after eating. the portions fill you up and its not too pricey compared to the 25$ tacos next door. Ambiance was beautiful too

Overpriced. Tiny portion. Tasteless food. The reason we went there was because everywhere else had a long wait, which explains why this place doesn't have a wait time. We sat outdoor. The space was very cramped. We were literally sitting arm to arm with no space in between. Do not recommend. You are better off waiting for an hr and going to cheesecake

Great service and lovely location that feels less busy than the other restaurants nearby. Pasta and all our desserts were delicious though the chicken parm just ok. If Augustin is your server you will smile and have a good time. Highly recommend!

Came here on an afternoon recently, I wish I had taken photos of my meal. It was just too good, fresh and the ambiance was cute. It's right be the fountain at the grove surrounded by trees and plants. Very relaxing lunch vibe. We tried the branzino and avocado salad. The service was amazing everyone was super friendly. We were in and out in just an hour. That's a perfect experience if you ask me :-)

Overall service was okay but the food here tastes very mediocre. The spicy rigatonici came in a small portion and tasted bland. The margarita pizza was soggy and flavorless. The spinach ravioli was good but also came in a tiny portion. The salmon salad was bitter. We did like the burger and fries though. Another downside is that we had flowers and leaves falling into our plates from the trees above. This is a good location for a restaurant but we were overall disappointed in our dining experience. They also did not validate our parking.

Absolutely love the outdoor patio under the trees at the waterfall/fountain of the Grove. Dessert and coffee, as close to Europe as it gets in LA. THALIA is a warm and friendly hostess, thank you for that!

Delicious afternoon meal with my daughter and grandson. The crème brûlée is the best I've had in a long time. Ambiance is spot on.
