I wanted to try the tamales today and was sadly disappointed, they smelled fresh ! But I am unsure of what I was eating the whole time , I got a chicken tamale and a cheese one . The one that's PICTURED is the cheese tamale , it was much more flavorful but the masa was uncooked and I cut it open and witnessed a very rubbery, hard orange thing ? I was trying to see if it was cheese but once id get it to rip apart with my fork it looked like a random piece of meet.? I ended up throwing it away sadly , it was also very mushy . The pollo tamale was very dry and mushy ! I'm not sure how it's possible to be both but it was ,sad I wasted my money :(

We went for tamales and bought 2 of each. We ended up throwing them all out. They were raw. All bought bread and also raw. Such a disappointment and waste of money & food.

Only the fast moving products are goid such as the holiday or the conchas. They don't dispose of old items. Today I purchased some tamales and was disgusted. The tamales smell like they have been sitting in a dirty refrigerator for a week. The masa tasted freezer burned. I don't understand how they can put out such a horrible product. When I think bakery, I think freshly prepared food. And the prices are not cheap. 3 dollars for a disgusting smelly hard mess. The owner should be ashamed.

Great quality bread and good service. My grandfather used to walk there all the time. Now that he can't walk far. I go and pick him and my family some bread when I'm in El Sereno. Is definitely worth to try.

I've come here a few times and the bread is usually hard but thought I'd give them one more try. Man! I was starving so I spent $45 for 6 cheese tamales and pan dulce. They forgot to pack about 4 or 5 pieces of bread. (All the conchas!) The 1 piece of bread I did eat was rock hard and the cheese tamales had raw masa inside. So I had to throw them out. What a waste of money! Nothing was salvageable. What a shame. Have to write this place off. Not one thing was good. I just threw that money away.

Been coming here for quite some time since it's close by me and the pan dulce never disappoints. The tortas are really good as well. The staff is always attentive and kind. A nice hidden gem in the community.

Small bakery, however, bread, cakes and drinks sold there are delicious. I like to buy a box of their delicious Champurrado.

I love this place but it would be nice to be able to see the prices for tamales that way I don't get sticker shock.

The employees could be a little friendlier. Not my first time there I have seen some of these employees before. Still not friendly. They just get straight to the point for your order.

So I purchased 6 tamales 8 pieces of bread and chaporraro $33.00. Tamales were awful the masa was watery on the inside and a hard piece of yellow cheese, Never again tamales are expensive and undercook I've purchased cheaper from street venders and also very good read reviews before purchasing Just sayin
