If you’re looking for the best Mexican restaurant in LA, El Compadres is the place to go. From the food to the drinks, everything is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the #9 plate, the two big chiles rellenos. They’re flavorful, perfectly cooked, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had.

Really unique place, fantastic food and they have a photographer who will come and take your photo if you want and give you a free post card. He does come back and ask if you want to buy any extra photos for $20 but he was so nice about it and we actually did get one and he gave us an extra one as well. Definitely recommended, everyone was so nice.

Institution. I find the food is better here and it's not as hectic as the West Hollywood location. I think they have the best taqueria salsa I've ever had. They make their own chips.
