Dont go here. The food- awful from the can and absolutely zero flavor. Whoever wrote below this is a place to be “seen” is correct. The only thing decent here are the draft modelos and the chips- NOT the salsa, cause that’s terrible too. We ordered the brisket fajitas and asked for veggie fajitas - they brought us peppers and onions and a grainy tomato, didn’t even add the hongos (mushrooms) they charged us for on the bill. When we asked about it, the one waitress became so nasty, argumentative and bratty. Why? And yes they charge you 4% for a “living wage charge” probably because their service does not constitute 20%. It’s called the service industry, but there’s no service here and the food tastes like cat food. Go for the drinks and be seen. Do not order food or with the nasty waitress

Anything with brisket is delicious! We stop here anytime we visit LA. It’s our go-to Mexican place with some Tex-Mex options like great queso and frozen margaritas. They also have really great chicharrones. You won’t be disappointed.Parking can be a gamble. We usually find parking on a street nearby or behind the restaurant. There is a valet next door for another place for like $7 but we try to avoid using it. It may also only be available on weekends. On Sunday when we went, they had a DJ. Not sure if that’s every week or not.

Liked the vibe, but it was definitely a spot to see and be seen. Almost a club environment, on the weekend, if that's what you're looking for. To me, $50 for the tacos and three beers is pretty steep, though. The environment, it appears, is not gratis.

A Silverlake stalwart. Other restaurants on the strip come and go, but El Condor quietly remains amidst it all, cemented as a cultural icon.

Busy on a weekend, but our group of six was sat in about 15 minutes. We were able to order a drink at the bar in the meantime; mezcal old fashioned ?Food was great, and ample portions.

I don't typically write Yelp reviews. Heck, I don't even use this app unless it's for silly specific reasons. But I felt obligated to make an actual account to rave about the experience I had. I came here for a friends birthday & then again for a date I was having, & on the first time I didn't even know what I was getting into exactly. But I found myself finding a new restaurant that I will continue to return to over and over again. It's not the great food ~or the drinks that tasted like they were specially made for me ~ that made me fall in love with my first and second experience here. It was the staff that made me feel at home. I was greeted by an incredibly passionate host - Christina, I think her name is. And even on a busy Friday night she was able to seat me and my 4 friends comfortably with a fun & charismatic server, Nicholas. The two of them definitely made my first time worthwhile and memorable. I was even fortunate enough to get Nick the second time I came in. Josh, Adam & I think Meelo - tended to me at the bar when waiting for my table and it felt like they actually wanted me to enjoy my time as I waited for a table I asked for specifically. It wasn't a burden that I wasn't some regular that was going to hangout for hours on end.If you're looking for a fun, very hot and passionate staff - that just so happens to serve amazing fajitas and tasty cocktails (great mezcal too), stop by Condor and see what all the hype is about. I might've just found a bar/restaurant that I can feel at home at

So I had been to El conquisador 30yrs ago.I was shocked of the 4% living cost wage on the bill, the employer should pay for that, not the costumers. I still paid the waiterr a tip, hopefully he'll receive it. Regarding the food, it was 0k except for the dry rice, no bueno! Don't think I'll be going back there...too bad it used to be the place to be 30yrs ago .

The tacos were so overpriced, and as if that weren't enough, you get hit with a 4% hidden fee at the end of your meal, just because.I will never return to this place ever.Over my dead body.

Food was not very good yet expensive for what you get.Arrived at 3:45 and they made us wait until after 4 to be seated even though the place was empty. The quesadillas were soggy in grease.

Secret 4% fee at the end of the bill. They wont let you know in advance. Very sneaky.

It was scorching hot outside and I was in desperately in need of an ice-cold beer and they delivered. The selection is above average and the décor is full of kitschy paintings from Mexico. All in all, it's a fun place that's a slice of a bona fide Sunset Strip flavour.
