Favorite Mexican restaurant in LA. Been there 90+ years ago and you can see why. Food is great, service is excellent, valet parking is cheap and easy. We waited probably 10 minutes for a table on a Friday night. Family business and the owner is there every night to greet you and say goodbye. Amazing joint.
I've been coming here since the 70s! When I was much younger, my friends and I would meet here for a fun evening. There was a time I ate here 3 times a week. The food is STILL my favorite authentic Mexican food around. All the newer, fru, fru designer type of Mexican restaurants don't interest me ! THIS place is legendary! I STILL love everything about this place !
Never disappoint. Let’s face it, this is not fine cuisine but it’s honest work and the atmosphere and friendly staff do the rest. And that’s enough for me. I am not asking much in life.
