El Coyote is a legend since 1931. They have great Mexican food including their salsas. Our favorite meal is the buffalo tacos. Marinated buffalo meat, with beans and rice. And their chicken enchiladas are ridiculous, they are big and have plenty of chicken on the inside and more on the outside. It's really awesome. Really good. Fresh chips. Right size portions. Enchilada sauce, beans, and the green corn tamale, to die for. Loved the atmosphere and decorations. Great service. Definitely going back.
El Coyote is one of LA's iconic spots that have been around for years. This is my first visit there in 30 years. Why? Because of the food. The food is mediocre and not to the liking of authentic Mexican food. This visit was the same.
