Good place for snack's!!!

Churros were really tasty and service was nice as for self-serving place. Also tried Mexican chocolate, really liked it! We got 4 churros it was absolutely enough for 2 people as a desert. I will definitely be back!

I don’t understand some reviews giving 1 star because they waited for 1 hour (uhm nobody coerced you to line up on a peak hour at new restaurant in LA, that’s on your buddy!)

So I’ve been to Echo park location twice since they opened (I’ve been to Mexico City and New York location a few times as well) and it’s exactly the way I remember them. I went on a Tuesday and only waited 30 minutes from lining up, ordering and getting my order. Second time I went on a Sunday around 3pm and waited for about 20 minutes.

Food review: churros are amazing (they stayed fresh 2 hours when I took them home) sandwich / torta is pretty decent as well for $7.

Super excited to try them out and was not disappointed! So many haters in the reviews which sucks but the service was great, Horchata iced latte was good & the churros are delicious!

Waited in line for a little less than 30 mins but once we ordered the churros came out fast. Tasty and fresh. Loved the guava dip. A short walk from Echo Park Lake.

First of all, they're known for their churros. Ok, so that's what I had in mind when trying first. I'd rather pay a bit more at disneyland for a churro. The churros are so dry. I took a bite and immediately needed something to quench my dry mouth. So I ordered a hot chocolate. It's so liquidy. Not thick at all as to how we're used to here in LA. Really disappointed by both sadly. Ok, so I went for the torta next... sad to say that I was extremely disappointed. Meat, cilantro, onions and bread. What in the seven levels of hell? No beans, mayo, tomatoes, lettuce and avocado? That's criminal to charge $7.50 for a torta that does not have the essentials to a torta. Ok, so last thing I wanted to try was the consuelo. Which is a circular churro ice cream sandwich. That was their saving grace. The ice cream kept the dryness of the churro away. But tbh. If I wanted ice cream. There's two ice cream shops down the street with better flavor and more variety. So out of everything I tried, which are staples to mexican food. I don't think it was worth it. The dull interior and exterior of white mainly and with hardly any blue also made me feel how corporate this company is and I honestly wish it didn't because it just reminds me of how when a company goes corporate. That homey taste and feeling goes away. Bring in the colors and vibrancy of mexico! And bring the actual taste!
Almost forgot. $2 for a tiny container of dipping sauce is insane to charge. It should be 50 cents for what you get
get not $2. Buy yourself cajeta at your local Mexican market for like $4 and enjoy it for months. Not one sitting. Support your street vendors selling churros. They have better flavor than these churros. Such a letdown.

Pretty delicious!! But the wait time is kinda bad, don’t understand why they have one person on post(cashier) felt bad for the worker!! But the churros were crunchy and soft!!

Over priced, not fresh, and a ridiculous wait

Nathan Sanchez

I had visited earlier this week in the evening and waited about 50 minutes for four churros and a chocolate. They were severely sold out of many of their dipping sauce options as well as drinks.

So I decided to come today before work to bring some my coworkers. I arrived before they opened and was 5th in line. I ordered the number one they only had three sauce options and two chocolate options. I also ordered a box of the morritos.

The morritos came out almost immediately. And then about 15 minutes later they called my name to hand me another box of them and I told them I had already received them and I was just waiting for the four churros and my coffee. I went back to wait and then they called me up for the churros, but my coffee still wasn't ready for God knows what reason. I didn't have any more time to wait so I left without getting my drink.

I was speaking with an older couple who were actually ahead of me in line and they had only received their coffee and nothing else.

I can understand a delay, a long wait, and being sold out of items towards the end of the day, but to be underwater, missing parts of your order, and long wait times as soon as you open is insane.

They need to figure this out quickly.

You would think a brand new building would have designed their lighting better. Horrible inside experience

The Churros are trash. So many places in Los Angeles are far better this stuff. It was hard and tasted burnt. Not a fan
