El Pollo Loco has been dying a slow death for years and this location is a perfect example of that. During one visit I had to get my money back because the order was done incorrectly. I foolishly thought I could give this location one more chance but things have only gotten worse. I ordered two crispy chicken tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Once I arrived home and started to eat, I noticed that there was not one piece of chicken in the tacos only lettuce. The quesadilla did have chicken but it tasted spoiled. The owner of this location is cutting corners big time. He denies being the owner, but he’s nailed to the ground in front of the cash register and never moves. The food is far from fresh here, it’s just terrible. Serving spoiled rotten food is a serious health concern. It could cause sickness or worse. Stay away from this location if you care about living

I eat here almost every day, and the employees at this location work VERY HARD!
The food is always great, freshly made, and consistent.
The customer service is also outstanding, especially when you consider what the people here have to deal with:
Homeless people suddenly going into outrageous episodes, others going through the trash cans, and regular customers who are too dumb to place an order.
This location needs a Security Officer, regular restroom cleaning, and removal of the taco stand that sets up right in front of their location because of the smoke they generate with their grilling outside.

Not a big fan of the fake green sauce but I love the pico de gallo, the only problem it they never give enough. Go inside tge resturant (after the drive-thru) , ask for a water cup and go to town filling the cup with their yummy Pico de gallo sauce!

We arrived there an hour before it was. posted closing time, and the place was already closed. Ever since was sold to some gringos it has gone done hill. I grew up going to El pollo Loco. It was a Mexican family tradition to go there every Sunday.
I guess the more things changed the more they don't stay the same.
Lately, it feels like I went to another dimension where things get worse and worse.
Ordered a 3 piece meal and this is what I got. I understand it’s a minimum wage job but employees always get the order wrong at this location. I am sure I am not the only one that’s experienced this at this location. I would stay away from this pollo loco location and go to the one closer to downtown on Olympic.

The food is actually good but they overcharge. If you ask for a combo, they charge you the regular amount plus an additional charge. Almost every time I go it occurs, it would be 5 stars if they didn’t try to scam others.
