$4.49 for a small loco side salad. That really is loco. This campus did a whole food insecurity initiative which is why they brought Everytable to the campus and the Pantry. But the rest of the food on campus cost more than buying it off campus. It just makes no sense. Food insecurity comes from charging students $5 for a small bowl of lettuce.

They are fast at getting my food out which is always a great thing, but they actively choose to get my name wrong. Idk what I did to piss off the old lady in red glasses but every time she is working she chooses to say my name wrong, even when I've politely told her how it's pronounced she still chooses to be rude, she even brushed me off and didn't care when I tried to correct her last time. I've even seen it correctly spelled on my receipt and they still choose to say it incorrectly. Do better, El Pollo Loco.

The line are long and the food is not worth the price. This place closes early, so I only stopped once. I will say that I don’t recommend it, but if you want someone to eat fast this is the place.

Not sure how it says (CLOSES IN 29 MINUTES) I called an hour ago to ask if their cash registers were working because around the neighborhood other Pollo Loco restaurants are closed or only taking cash, I drive 15min to get to this location & because it was inside the food court I called to get their exact location only for the answering person to tell me they are CLOSED! THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME OF THIS BEFORE I DROVE THIS WAY?!?!???????!!!! In case the manager sees this, check your employees/team!!! They are lacking common sense

Close this location down too. I don't what it is about pollo loco now, but at this specific location, I've bought food 3 times and every, single, time they either mess my order up or are extremely rude. I'm just a student that's hungry, I didn't ask for someone who hates their job and life to make my food. It's sad, because for some students they don't have a choice and this is one of the few healthy options on campus. If pollo loco cared even a little bit, they're HR department might want to take a look at their employees, management and work practices a little more closely. I never want to eat at any pollo loco again. Its really a shame.

The quality of food is worth the price, but there is a high chance they will not complete your order as requested. I asked for salsa Verde, spicy jalapeno salsa, and guacamole. I got none of these, even though I paid extra for the guacamole. I think it is because at lunch they are overrun with high school kids, but they should not punish others for the poorly behaved children... The bowl itself was solid. A good amount of chicken and it was tender. My only problem was the cilantro bunched into a big pile and did not seem fresh. It almost added a stale taste to the whole bowl. They are clearly doing the best they can with service (teenagers are the worst), but once they place your meal it is hard to get their attention to get silverware or anything like that. Its easily the best value on campus, but the service and high school hollougans need some dealing with
The avocado ? burrito gave me the runs. Like it wasn't just one spray but consecutive sequences of it. Avoid it unless you want to awake an unwanted cleansing.

The worst! I am sure the employees are overworked and underpaid, however, I have never once had a remotely enjoyable experience at this location. The first time I ordered a large pick up order to feed a group of 15 students. After I picked up and arrived at the location I unboxed it to find NO CHICKEN! I called. Was hung up on. I had to dispute the charge on my credit card. The photo below is from my second attempt to patron this location.

came to this location for the first time and was satisfied. the food was well cooked and made in a reasonable time. the workers have always been nice and welcoming to me. i will be definitely be coming back soon when it reopens!

The quality of food is good, I love their churros especially. Currently this location is closed for now but I usually pass by to see if it's open since I am on campus often. In general the fast food at Cal State LA have a captive consumer base due to agreements with the University and they often over charge us. Only reason I give it three stars, also because the menu items are limited compared to the actual food chain.
