I really hate to be that guy and this isn't a reflection, SOLELY, on this restaurant, but all, not a couple or a few, but ALL El Pollo Loco restaurants I've visited has dry and chewy chicken. It's a reoccurring theme across all of their restaurants. I'm truly shocked they've been able to stay in business for as long as they have. It's really a shame, too, because the surrounding dishes and garnishes are great. The customer service, particularly at this establishment, has been EXCELLENT. Fix the chicken issue and El Pollo Loco will be GREAT.

I was disappointed after 4-5min. No one came up front. I had time to look around at the counters in the kitchen, filthy with spilled salsa & cilantro onions, little nats/flies. They're so busy with the Sunday Drive thru, we waited. By the time we ordered the line was long & after 10 more minutes, we got a refund. That's the 1 on Vermont and Slauson. This staff were few & NEW. They weren't able to gain control back. I'm sorry.

The tables aren't cleaned in-between use. I was the only customer and all the tables I wanted to sit at were dirty. That was half of the tables.
Save you the trouble and just go to McDonalds across the street.

It's not the same as it was 4 years ago, they no longer give you condiments to accompany the food except salsa and guacamole ?. The very despotic cashier answers you if you ask him about something. I've been to other pollo locos like the one in Highland Park and they still give you everything and the workers are very friendly. I no longer recommend this crazy chicken from main and Manchester in South Central.

The service was almost nonexistent. The staff only focused on filling in orders and didn't greet or acknowledge us. No cashiers, just large tablets. Basically, get your order, eat, or get out. The dine-in room was pure basic metal and plastic everything. The food was basic. My friend and I had to pour salsa of all kinds for the food to have any flavor. This "fast food" chicken place has become a school cafeteria instead of the family-friendly place and delicious food it used to be.
Parking: 12 parking spots, 2 are handicap parking
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp on the left side of the entrance door right next to the parking lot.
