I’m so glad that Salsabor is close to my new apartment in KTown. I fell I love with Salvadoran food when I lived in SF many years ago. Everything prepared here is perfect and delicious. I think it authentic and so fresh. This place is on my top breakfast spots in LA. Calm and peaceful and full of sweet families. Love the servers who are patient with my crappy espaniol.

The food is ok I’m giving this place 3 stars for the food as the condiments for the pupusa had too much salt that overpowered the pupusa. And I’m giving this place 1 star for customer service and overall atmosphere. It was my first time ordering for take out at this place and one of the young girls taking my order ignored me for like 5mins even though there was no one in line. Second when she was taking my order she was so rude and unwelcoming , (looking at me as if she was bothered or mad)yet I still I stayed and placed my order since I wanted to support a Latino business. I thought maybe she had a bad day or something But then I saw how joyous and even flirty they treat the men that come here and I realized she was just acting that disgusting way towards me, for no reason. I will not come back here and feel sorry for the business owner who hire these unprofessional ppl to run their business. I will not be supporting this business. There’s better pupusa places that welcome you with open arms and appreciate your business.

Yesterday, Friday, September 13, I went to dinner, I ordered a Rancheríto dish, they brought it to me incomplete, I told the girl who served us that the dish was missing, that it was not complete, and I explained to her what was missing, she told me that she would be back with the missing one, we took half an hour to eat, we told a second waitress what was happening and she also told us that she was coming back with the missing one, they never approached us with what was missing from the plate, they didn't even offer us more coffee, We went to ask for the bill and we heard the girl say that we were already leaving and that she didn't bring us what was missing, but they charged us for the full plate, at least they would have given an apology, I left that place very angry.

Brought the family here on a recommendation. The atmosphere could be better. Management should invest on updated restrooms and general hardscape. A modern paint job should suffice.

I saw many reviews about the long wait and yes, we waited about 45 minutes to get a meal. But I did notice that I don’t think it’s the cooking per se but it’s more of the service. I don’t wanna say her name, but it’s the young skinny girl…younger of the three that just simply needs better training on how to be a waitress. I learned to be a great waiter at Universal Citywalk restaurants during my college days. I would say half the restaurant was full today so I don’t think it was a time issue.

Regarding the food ?. The taste—the appearance, and the portions made it all worthwhile. You have excellent cooks. They have great proportions, the seasoning and the cooking as well. I think if you work on the other two issues you’ll make even more money. I don’t think I’ll be back though until that happens.

Wouldn’t recommend. Took 50 minutes to get our food (ordering to-go) + 15 minutes to have someone acknowledge us (had to tell them we wanted to order). They lost part of our order, and only gave us 1/3 of our order after we asked how much longer it would take. Served others before us while they walked past us like we weren’t there. Plus it’s hot inside with no ventilation so it’s also an uncomfortable environment to eat. There’s better places to go, avoid this place.
