Great place for coffee and dessert. Can get busy and seating is a bit tight . Parking can be challenging but it's manageable. If you are stuck on the 405 and have some time to spare or would rather do something else besides just sit in traffic this is a great spot.

I've been coming here for a while because it's such a lovely place to hang out and study and I like the pastries. But lately it's been intolerable because of a consistent and VERY strong urine smell. You guys MUST do something about this. It's an eating place! I can't tell exactly who it's coming from, but I've watched the place clear out after it wafts in, and it stays for hours.
Besides that, there are a few (I think new?) employees who are exceedingly rude and seem to enjoy playing games with what they charge. $3 for a coffee one day, $5 seemingly when the worker is in a bad mood. Next time I'll be more watchful and challenge them on this. One woman in particular openly and loudly makes fun of customers to the other worker while the customer is still there. She did it to me. All this makes me hesitant to keep coming back.
The coffee is okay but the avocado toast is one of the worst I’ve ever had. Comparable to the one you’d get at Dunkin’ Donuts for $4, except it’s $20 here. The barista could have been more polite as well
Wonderful food and a great location in Westwood plaza near UCLA.

Favorite cafe in the entire metropolitan LA area. Everything food/drink is good, has outlets and WiFi. Tables are really well suited for productive work.

Wow, this might be one of my favorite cafes ever. Reminds me of a neighbor bistro in Paris, but with American tastes. Plenty of seating, a quiet serene atmosphere, and good coffee and baked goods

One of the employees (had a fedora) was exceedingly rude to me and my friends. So unprofessional and made my group of girls very uncomfortable. Also, spotted a roach.

I have never experienced this level of horrible customer service in my entire 34 years of living. I came into elysee expecting to be treated respectfully and politely but instead was met with complete rudeness by the worker with the funny hat, Zack. He asked me “what do you want” with a horrible attitude and then proceeded to charge me a completely different price for my latte than what the menu stated. I didn’t feel like arguing so I just paid the whopping 8 dollars for a small latte. Only a handful of people were in the establishment so I didn’t expect for my drink to take 15 minutes!!!! While I waited I caught Zack, not only changing the song playing like 15 times but also flirting with other customers, and berating his young coworker who seemed to be having a rough time (I don’t blame them) . Despite the horrible service I received . Here’s the real trouble I had with this establishment….i sat to drink my very mediocre drink and had a ROACH crawl over my foot. I complained to the Zack guy, who now had earphones in, and he told me that I was lying and that I had to show him proof.
Least be sure, I left that place as soon as possible and will never be returning.

Just because of the location it does have a lot of foot traffic but it is a very nice bakery with great coffee. Ample seating allows you to go further back if you wanted a conversation.

I got a slice of carrot cake here before and it was great, however do NOT get the red velvet. I've NEVER had red velvet with lemon frosting. I am not sure if that is just how they flavor their cake, but it tasted like a mistake was made. Do not get the red velvet cake.

This is a very busy Cafe in a busy area. They do not have parking and you either have to find street parking or park in a city on parking structure. That's why we came on a Saturday. Don't expect to find free parking.
They have a menu board which is kind of hard to review when you're standing in line. They do have a printed menu, but have to request it. You can take it and go sit down at an open table and then go back and order.
We were disappointed without order when we first got it. My sister had asked for her eggs benedict soft and they came hard. I didn't make a special request, but when I got mine the English muffin was so overcooked I could not cut through it.
However, I was very impressed with the response of the restaurant. They offered without us even having to ask to redo the order. Once we got the second order, it was very good.
You'd get a very small juice and a croissant with your breakfast. If you order coffee, you only get one cup and have to pay a dollar for a refill.
The plates they serve you on are large and the tables for two are small so that's a bit of a challenge.
All in all, this is a good restaurant if you're in the neighborhood.

A friendly neighborhood cafe. The staff seems to know the locals quite well. Their veggie omelette was hearty and flavorful. They bake their wheat toasts and serve them with whipped butter. It was delicious!
