This coffee shop has potential but misses the mark on the details.

The location and decor are cozy. It feels lived-in, with exposed brick and vintage feeling furniture.

However, the ordering process is extremely inefficient and confusing. The (admittedly, very friendly) baristas pass orders verbally twice: once to make the coffee, and another time to ring up the POS. All the while the queue of people has to zigzag in between itself to make this workflow happen.

Then the coffee is just okay. The extraction of the espresso wasn't great - it was acidic and almost had a banana-like quality in my cortado. The pastries, while I don't think they're made in-house, were alright.

The space is sort of rotunda-shaped, making the lounge area actually quite loud.

I want to like Espresso Profeta, but it just doesn't quite work for me.

Great coffee place near UCLA. Had a soy milk cappuccino and was so good. I also tried their pastries with an almond donut cake and was also really good. Ended up taking another drink to go because it was so good.

Why bother with a “Specialty Latte Menu” these people don’t even try. I originally stop coming here because the staff is rude. Yes. Staff is still rude. Drinks are still bad. Lots of other options around Westwood

While I've never had any food here, the coffee is spectacular. They have their service down pat, line flows fast with friendly service.

The place is beautiful and vibey, BUT no outlets to plug in!!!! I didn’t realize until after I purchased my drink and began working. I searched every corner and did not find one, so I asked the manager and he said they don’t have any 🙄. He told me to go to the museum across the street. Such an inconvenience for people trying to work at the place. I think they do it so people don’t stay too long. Thankfully I had enough battery to get through my meeting. Other than that the drinks are typical.

The gem of Westwood Village. Best espresso by far, perhaps in all of West LA. Their small, expert staff likely has over half a century of combined experience in high-end coffee, and their Vivace beans (also sold by the pound) are imported, freshly roasted, every week.

On top of all this, the secluded indoor-outdoor space is, frankly, an epicurean oasis in an area which has become increasingly impersonal and ‘take-out’ oriented.

Many both casual and luxurious spots for lunch nearby. Hammer Museum across the street.

Cute coffee place with good choice of lattes, unfortunately they allow people to smoke at their tables outside. Even though it is prohibited by city law. So if you life your morning coffee with a side of cigar, this is the place for you! I’ll be going to Ministry of Coffee from now on.
