We loved Fanny's. The food was amazing. The desserts were absolutely incredible. Service was top notch. Can't wait to dine there again. Next time I'm in the area.
Always a joy to be at Fanny's! Great food and service. The cobb salad and caesar salad reliably delightful and substantial!
What a fantastic museum and cafe! We even saw an iconic super famous celebrity dining at Fanny's right next to us. The best!
We love Fanny's! We went mushroom crazy and got cream of mushroom soup and their mushroom Wellington. Both were fantastic. The drinks and dessert are always on point there too. Have a nice lunch at Fanny's then walk around the museum. You won't regret it.
Excellent restaurant whether you are visiting the Academy museum or just looking for a place to eat near Fairfax and Wilshire. The focaccia bread is to die for served with an amazing Boursin cheese butter, yum. The cheesecake was the best I've ever had. Atmosphere is lovely, booths comfortable. But the staff is amazing, treated us lovely, didn't rush us and very nice. Highly recommend.
I ordered the From Russia with Spicy Vodka, and am sorely disappointed. For a thirty dollar pasta, you would expect to be full at the end of the meal. There is no chance one could be full from a serving that would barely suit a small child. The volume of sauce entirely eclipsed the pasta, and the cheese was strategically placed to obscure the voids. Not only was the food cleverly arranged to masquerade as a full portion, but the dimensions of bowl itself aided in the deception. I will not deny that it was good, but if I could hold the entire volume of the pasta in one hand, it should cost ten dollars. Five, even. Not thirty. I am still hungry, and now I am annoyed. Go to India's Tandoori instead, they know how much food to give a person and are far more reasonably priced.

We had a late reservation, for our anniversary, didn't even offer dessert because they were finishing to leave and close for the night. Food was great, service mediocre at best.
It's actually pretty good food wise and it's actually pretty bad price wise also they kinda aggressively handed my mom her food and I didn't appreciate that NOT ONE BIT SHE RAISED ME thank you

Can’t beat the atmosphere. Fun cocktails and an extensive wine list. They close at 7:30pm, so early dinner is the only evening option. The food menu is pretty standard, nothing earth shattering. The service is friendly and attentive. All in all, a great place to hang with friends or a family outing.

This lovely, beautifully curated restaurant in the Academy Museum was perfect for a get-together brunch of long-time friends who wanted to see the Museum. Very reasonable, very tasty, very friendly.
I first visited for a post wedding brunch and had the lobster salad, a lobster Cobb I think. It was breathtakingly delicious. So are the tequila mocktinis, yes alcohol free tequila. This salad is so good, when I flew back to LA I made a special trip back to Fannys for the same salad, but they were closed for a special event. I had an event there that evening, so I had to go off site to eat and thrn returned that night. I made a THIRD visit to LACMA that weekend on my way to the airpor as I was determined not to leave town without another lobster salad. Fannys did not disappoint. My husband had equally delicious food each time, too, but honestly, I was so overwhelming in love with my salad I have no idea what he ate (nor do I care... I am a devotee).
Omg the food was amazing! But why so expensive?! I would go back - but would need a bother bag of cash 💰
Great spot for snack or meal. Smell but excellent menu with something for everyone including vegetarian/vegan. Surprising to find this quality in a museum
