Cookies were good. Coffee was okay. Both service workers kind of seemed bothered that I was there for some reason? Didn't bother me much at first but then the woman who came to be my cashier was kind of snarky and rude. So as much as I would love to support a small business I just don't think I want to go back.

Wet cute coffee shop. Loved the cortado, father in law loved the latte. They have this oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that was great fresh. Very solid key lime pie too.

Owner needs to stay away from customers, borderline rude, very harsh. Pie is hit or miss - sometimes soggy, sometimes tough. Won't cone back for pie at the premium prices. Cookies are good, but not worth trying to find parking for. Been there 4 times, just ho hum

Last week we had a great experience, tried a number of items. My wife especially loved the chocolate pecan marshmallow brownies. I went back in to get more, because my wife was looking forward to having them again. When I came home with the brownies, she was confused, as the marshmallow was missing off the top. She tasted it and it was all gooey/fudgy/dense and not cakey. Think corn syrup stirred into melted chocolate. WTH? Apparently, it is now this disgusting gluten free gross concoction where they mix the marshmallows into the batter for extra cornsyrup structure, complete with weird clear yellow goo. Why do they even call themselves Fat + Flour if they are not going to put flour in the pastry? They should have had warnings up in the store. Really, really sucks! We went online to look at other pictures of the brownies and realize we weren't crazy they changed the recipe over the last week. My wife then called and got the most disingenuous apology ever. If I wrote this review last week it would've been five stars. After this I won't be returning.

Seriously the best pies we’ve ever had. The crust is a wowzer. The coffee is delish. And the egg salad sooo good. Cute quiet little spot in a neighborhood. Charming decor.

Best pies on the Westside, both in quality and variety of creams and fruit pies. Delectable assortment of cookies. Fresh breads and bagels from Jyun Isaac. Limited indoor seating.

I was excited to come here based on reviews and environment. It looked so cute inside and I was so happy to try it. I ordered a cold brew, but it was extremely watered down, so that was disappointing. The woman who took my order at the counter was not friendly at all, which really ruined the experience for me. It’s almost like I had no right to be there. I didn’t order any food, but the open faced bagels looked really good, so I gave the food 5 stars as a benefit of the doubt.
But I’m not sure I’ll come back based on the sour mood of the cashier.

Chocolate chip cookie was good but roughly equivalent to what I could make at home. Strawberry rhubarb pie was decent but not a huge fan of the crust.

Friendly staff.

The people working here are so kind and amazing. The food was 10/10. It was a darn good sandwich, and the desserts were to die for. We got the chocolate chess pie and the pistachio chocolate cheesecake. I’m STILL thinking about that cheesecake. The coffee was really solid too. Nothing fancy, but it’s just really good beans and really good espresso. The atmosphere was also so cute. It’s the kind of that I could see myself spending an entire afternoon at.

These pies are so far the best I’ve ever had in my life. Easily the best in LA. I got the strawberry rhubarb which is my favorite flavor of pie. It was sweet but not overpowering and the crumble topping was so buttery. The double crust Apple pie was fantastic as well. The crust was so flaky. I also got the blueberry brown sugar scone which was a bit dry but still not bad. I wish this place had more of a variety/options for breakfast such as pastries or sandwiches but I can understand that they may not have the bandwidth or manpower to do all that. This is now one of my favorite places in LA and I can’t wait to go back again.

The kind of place that lingers in your memory like a song you hum days later. Nestled like a secret spell in the heart of the city, Fat + Flour is more than a bakery — it’s a portal. A quiet, glowing sanctuary where sugar meets soul, where light spills across smooth counters and time slows into something tender.

The Basque Pistachio Cheesecake? A revelation.
To call it the best cheesecake I’ve ever had feels insufficient — it’s a moment, not a dessert. Earthy pistachio notes swirl through its rich, creamy interior, softened and deepened by a brulée-like edge and crowned with wild scatterings of chocolate chips.

And then there’s the Key Lime Pie — a clean slice of sunlight. Whipped cream peaks ripple like waves across a silk sea, the tang of lime sharp but balanced, resting atop a crust that tastes of golden afternoons. Not too sweet, never too dense — it dances on the tongue, crisp and alive.

The space itself is pure indie poetry — sun-washed, warm, with flowers that look handpicked from a daydream and energy that says: stay awhile. You feel it immediately — that this is a place that cares. That gets it.

Fat + Flour is a love letter to dessert, written by someone who knows what sweetness can mean — and dares to make it sacred.
