3/13/36: Excellent bakery. Had a fantastic ham and cheese sandwich and apple pie. Pear kombucha was very good too.

Such an excellent bakery. Can't wait to go back and get more bread and try the different fruit pies. Found this as it was part of the Los Angeles bakery walk event. This is a hidden gem you want to stop at. The coffee drinks have also been excellent.
Nice assortment of gummy bears and they have birthday candles in case you need them for a special event. Very close to downtown culver city, and Kaiser medical center down the street

OK my favorite thing about this place is the very fun ambience inside.... They do such a good job with all the food related art and items everywhere from the front door to the bathroom.
Service is decent but sometimes you can definitely tell they're busy or not really in the mood to deal with customers. The food for me has been hit or miss but that's because of my personal preference. I find the cookies way too sweet but again that's just for me... The pies however are delicious (and I'm very picky with piecrust).
The sourdough I had was incredible as well (not sure if It's made on site) but the egg breakfast sandwich for me was just a little off. The onion jam was extremely sweet and I didn't care for the fluffy white bread... plus I wish there had been a bit more balance to it. The coffee is great and I would go back but probably just for pie, coffee or bread.

I absolutely love this place! The food is so good and the stuff is so nice. Carlo was kind enough to give me an extra cookie at the end of the day with my order! So sweet. Thank you all!

Came to Fat + Flour to meet a friend and was obsessed with all of the pie options. We went with a strawberry pie and iced tea. For anyone that loves pie, this is a must visit. There was a cook book release happening while we were there. The staff were friendly and we were comfortable chatting and catching up. Would recommend to locals in the west side and those visiting!

The pies may be good, but the attitude from the girl handing them out today was awful. Five people in front of me had to ask for a bag, and she still acted annoyed when I said yes to one. It is basic customer service and she failed at it completely.

I would rather throw the pie away than pass it to someone else who might like it and end up giving this place more business. I will not be ordering here again.

Fat + Flour in Culver City is a refreshingly spacious bakery, bigger than most, but still cozy enough to smell every glorious waft of butter and sugar.

I stopped by around 3 p.m. on a Saturday and, despite a steady flow of pie-seekers, barely waited.

The Strawberry Rhubarb pie is a standout: bright, balanced, and wrapped in a satisfyingly thick crust that feels like a buttery hug.

The Peanut Butter cookie hits that chewy, sugary sweet spot, while the Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip cookie earns an enthusiastic “yum!”—crisp edges, gooey center, and just enough bourbon attitude. My favorite cookie there. There’s metered parking out front, a bathroom (bless them), and even a small little shopping section with a selection of cups and books.

With Key Lime and Banana Cream still on my to-try list, Fat + Flour easily sits at the top of my pie rotation.

Cookies were good. Coffee was okay. Both service workers kind of seemed bothered that I was there for some reason? Didn't bother me much at first but then the woman who came to be my cashier was kind of snarky and rude. So as much as I would love to support a small business I just don't think I want to go back.

Wet cute coffee shop. Loved the cortado, father in law loved the latte. They have this oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that was great fresh. Very solid key lime pie too.

Owner needs to stay away from customers, borderline rude, very harsh. Pie is hit or miss - sometimes soggy, sometimes tough. Won't cone back for pie at the premium prices. Cookies are good, but not worth trying to find parking for. Been there 4 times, just ho hum

Last week we had a great experience, tried a number of items. My wife especially loved the chocolate pecan marshmallow brownies. I went back in to get more, because my wife was looking forward to having them again. When I came home with the brownies, she was confused, as the marshmallow was missing off the top. She tasted it and it was all gooey/fudgy/dense and not cakey. Think corn syrup stirred into melted chocolate. WTH? Apparently, it is now this disgusting gluten free gross concoction where they mix the marshmallows into the batter for extra cornsyrup structure, complete with weird clear yellow goo. Why do they even call themselves Fat + Flour if they are not going to put flour in the pastry? They should have had warnings up in the store. Really, really sucks! We went online to look at other pictures of the brownies and realize we weren't crazy they changed the recipe over the last week. My wife then called and got the most disingenuous apology ever. If I wrote this review last week it would've been five stars. After this I won't be returning.
