I'll echo what others have said. For a place that has such an informal vibe, they are overwhelmingly snooty. No substitutions. They don't serve vodka... it has no flavor. No accommodations for the GF crowd or those with tomato allergies. No children, no dogs. (I like that, actually.) Two appetizers, one gin drink but, get this, they don't believe in olives!, one fairly mediocre office burger, one quickly hardening shoestring fries: $100 with tip. The owner/chef may be a control freak, but they can't control me if I don't ever go back.

When you're looking for a good burger, this place comes up on your list especially when you live in the Culver area. I was not impressed by the choice of burger they served. They only have one, btw. There's no substitutions, so the person who came up with this burger seemed to be very confident in his choice of what goes with what. The sandwich is not gourmet, it has too many flavors that overpower each other and the fact that this place doesn't have condiments besides aioli?! because the chef doesn't like them, lol is ridiculous. Also, the place smelled like rotten eggs inside and outside, which didn't help. The fries and tots had good texture, but they were very salty and then to have to dip them in aioli (which made it worse), because you don't offer people ketchup, or any other condiments. The only real positive was that the service was quick and the staff was very kind. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good burger and options.

Place is whatever. Can’t substitute anything on their pretentious burger or otherwise.

Good drinks. Bartender had a weird attitude. Other than that it’s a good place felt like a Chiles for beer lovers.
If your job is to pour batched cocktails and beer. Just smile and do your job.

Self serve resturant, order everything from bar & you return to order additional drinks. You do all the work. Food brought by runners & never at same time. 1 sandwich, then next sandwich & last were the French fries. WIERD & cold environment. $$$ for doing your own work. The only smile we received was at door for I.D. check. Good food, easy parking. If I needed ketchup for fries I had to go ask bar-tender.

I hate being a bubble buster or a wet blanket but the “office burger” needs a vacation, I’ve heard so much about it being one of the best in LA. It’s not even top 25, a burger at its core is a simple dish, this one’s anything but simple, from the strange choice of the hard crust mini baguette style bun to the overly complex mixtures of flavors of dry aged beef, caramelized onions and two different kinds of heavy tasting cheeses, it all gets lost in the sauce and creates something that has no business being called a burger, and on top of all that they chose to add the Krispp bitterness or arugula. All strange choice. I’d skip this place all together if like me you came here just for this menu item. The atmosphere is chill, at least on a Monday night. But I’d hate to see what this place looks like on the weekend, maybe it tastes better when you’re all sauced up on one of the many beers on tap. All in all this place is ok if you’re in looking for a light dining experience and more into the bar vibe. Would not revisit, but I’m definitely not the customer they’re aiming at.

The beer is good with a wide variety, but food is not as expected. The ingredients listed on the menu are not included in the dish. For example, while The Office Burger is supposed to have bacon and Maytag blue (cheese), there’s no bacon and the staff response is that the blackened, sweet onions are cooked in bacon fat. Later, the manager mentioned there were bits of bacon, which other customers also say they cannot taste in the dish. The Gruyère and blue cheese melded together have no distinct taste. The Arancini tomato sauce seemed like it was out of a jar. Enjoyed the Berbere Cauliflower. The fried chicken sandwich was the best thing on the menu, but the bar is low. Good portion of shrimp on the shrimp and grits though…One of the only redeeming qualities is that the bartenders are knowledgable about the beer and offer tastes to determine the right fit.
