I learned a new party trick @fengmao.la and it involves meat skewers! All Wolverine jokes aside, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that their ✨Numbing Spicy Mala Dry Hot Pot was the clear winning dish of the meal for me✨ but their Mala lamb kebab did come in hot in 2nd place? We had: Kebabs- lamb, mala lamb, marinated beef, pork belly & asparagus, chicken heart, chicken gizzard, fish tofu, matsutake mushroom, green chives, lotus root, potato pancake, cold noodle, numbing spicy mala dry hotpot

Lamb, marinated beef and asparagus wrapped in bacon. That’s all we’ve eaten, and it was amazing!

Fantastic Korean Chinese cusine. Table is served banchan. The Mala Lamb skewers over the grill at your table. The wok dishes were excellent as well. It's a hidden gem in Koreatown on Western Ave. A must try !

The Guobao Pork is delicious; the colorful pulled pork is also good, but a bit sweet; the barbecue tastes good, but a bit expensive! The store is not big, so you will most likely have to queue up; the food is served quite quickly; the two of them ate over 100

I had high hopes for this place, expecting it to be like the Olympic location, but unfortunately, it fell short. The skewers, especially the mala beef and lamb, were good. I can savor the distinct mala heat and numbing sensation of the spicy Szechuan peppers, creating a unique and memorable flavor in your mouth. However, the service was mediocre; I had to flag down the server for water refills and napkins. Personally, I prefer the other location because they use actual coal. I find that using coal to cook was unique and rare. I'll likely return to the Olympic location as I feel the food tastes slightly better there. It's a casual dinner spot, but parking can be tricky due to its location in Koreatown.

Saw this place from a reel on IG and decided to give it a try. I’ll say, I’ll pass. First off, the steamed buns took more than 40 mins to arrive after following up our order 3-4x. Second, the veggie dish was TOO SPICY. If you love spicy food, you’ll love it but then I don’t. So it gave me a stomach ache after. The kebab was ok nothing special. There’s no free parking only valet parking. The ambiance is so-so. If you are craving kebab, I say take the drive to Monterey Park. Overall, I say I’ll pass.

I had a pretty wack date here a last week, but the good news is the food was great! I had been to Feng Mao Lamb's other location but this version is a bit fancier and classier with their own parking lot.Love their Chinese-Korean style skewers with lamb being the speciality. Meat is fresh, tender and juicy with great flavoring, just like the OG location. It's fun grilling the skewers at your table, can be a conversation piece or almost like a dinner activity. Recommend the lamb, beef and chicken hearts for full effect.Service was on point with some small mixups here and there.I've been a fan and will remain a fan of Feng Mao Lamb Kebab!

I love Chinese bbq and I found another spot closer to me in Koreatown. We ordered 10pc lamb and beef kebab. It was really good nice pieces well spiced and the quality is tender maybe that's why it was a little pricey but worth it. It wasn't busy so the service was great. Everything we ordered was good. Definitely coming back and bringing my foodie fam along

Love the skewers, Lamb, beef and sausage are my favorite. If you like spicy, Definetely try the mala beef or mala Lamb skewers. They recently updated their grills with automated ones. Which is a great convenience.. Perfectly cooked skewers every time.. One criticism, they used to have steamed egg and a complimentary salad, but they recently removed both from their menu.. Hopefully they will get them back one day.
