We sat outside which was fine however the table was uneven and kept wobbling back and forth as we ate. Further disappointment came when I ordered the Catfish Dinner and one 1 one piece of catfish came with this $25 dollar plate. Are you serious, one piece that had flaky batter on it and crumbled to pieces. Clearly had been pre fried and sitting until I arrived apparently. Won’t come here again. Overrated and Over priced for one piece of fish.

The best soul food we had in all of SoCal. Seriously impressed with how good the food PLUS the atmosphere and staff were great, the food quality and portions were amazing

10/10 I made a reservation for 2pm came a little earlier 1245 and we were able to be seated in a few minutes. The food was delicious Oxtails were great & as we know, everyone cant make oxtails but the reviews are true these are good. Fixins Mac n Cheese & greens GOOD ! Fried tomatoes good ! Deep fried devil egg good! Oh the atmosphere, VIBES we came on a Sunday and gospel was playing, baby!!! took us there & back!! EVERYBODY SAY BLESSED ! Definitely 10/10 I’ll be back.

Went on a Saturday around 3pm
Good atmosphere, however served my entire table, I wait 45min on my dinner/plate did not come.
Fixing Response/ we’re busy sorry 😞 for not bring your dinner.
Con: And you have to pay $25 to $35 parking. Then charge 20% for
Gratuity. With Bad service.

Food is pretty good, enjoyed the oxtail and rice. Chicken sandwich and was acceptable as well. Service is decent, attentive enough. Pricing is a little high, $18 a cocktail isn’t justified here for sure. Main portion about right but side portion pretty small.

a must! Khadija was very nice, attentive and gave good recommendations. The drinks were fire and the food! Catfish nuggets 10/10 perfectly seasoned and fried hard. Chicken and waffles 10/10. The music and atmosphere is a vibe. I'll be back

My Friends and I visited here on a Sunday while we were in L.A. and everything we ordered was delicious — no complaints at all. The service was friendly, and the music was a whole vibe.

We were only in town for four days, and the food was so good that we actually came back again before heading home. That should tell you everything!

I’d definitely recommend making a reservation because it got packed while we were eating.

Overall: perfect food, great energy, and amazing experience.

Fantastic soul food that's full of flavor yet not overly salty or greasy. We ordered fried chicken & waffles, collard greens, grits, fried green tomatoes and a couple others... all delicious! The fried chicken was a tad on the salty side, but it wasn't overwhelmingly so. Would come back to try the other goodies!
