I love the appetizers!! The fried green tomatoes, catfish bites, corn muffins are peak deliciousness!
Everything was great, deejay was way too loud, service was superb! I left my leftovers and came back but they had already been removed but chef Toni made me another serving, I thought that was very kind
We were created at the door with a professional but comfortable, come in and make yourself at home vibe! The menu was hard to choose because everything sounded good!! You definitely have to make return reservations to explore the menu with family and friends! The food presentation, temperature, and taste is delicious. There is something for everyone when choosing to dine out and get a taste of southern food and drinks. Compliments to Fixins staff and the Chef.
Everything was amazing. Our server Tay was awesome and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to return.
I had to call to modify my reservation that I scheduled online because I didn't see any more availability on Open Table. The representative I called was extremely kind and accommodating, and even gave some recommendations for our dinner that evening. When my party arrived at the restaurant for my aunt's 80th birthday, our server was prompt, attentive, and very warm. As a table we shared the chicken and waffles, gumbo, fried fish, deviled eggs, and the fried green tomatoes. Everything was delicious, but everyone was sold when we all tasted the kool-aid! That was such a nice nostalgic touch that took everyone back to simpler times. Thank you to everyone at Fixins Soul Kitchen for making our experience so memorable!
service was awful! food was good though it was warm and not hot. place was overbooked. everyone at our table received food except the burger that was ordered which came out 30-minutes after our table received their food. took 30-minutes to receive our bottle of champagne that we ordered. just terrible.
The food was really good. The atmosphere was excellent and very festive. The customer service was great. The food came out warm and delicious. We enjoyed all of our meal. We shared with one another the various meals. We will definitely be back.
This place delivers true Southern soul food done right. Easily some of the best soul food I've had west of the Mississippi River. The fried fish nuggets and fried chicken were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and comforting in the best way. On top of that, the service was excellent and the food came out quickly. A great experience all around.
Our waiter, Xavier, was very knowledgeable about the menu items. He was patient with our somewhat large group. Although there was an automatic 20% gratuity on our tab because of our group size, Xavier continued to check on us. He kept an inviting smile on his face as if he enjoyed serving our table. The host and hostess were warm, extremely friendly, and accommodating to our seating request. My group reminisced about the posted wall items. They brought back good childhood memories. The food is decently priced, and we all enjoyed our individual selections. The biggest plus for me was that my chicken was cooked to perfection. That's rare in other food establishments. We enjoyed the musical selections. It was just a little too loud.
The food was pretty good but there were some misses. The deep fried devil eggs were just not good. Great idea, bad outcome. The fried green tomatoes were a bit bland and hard. The fish was amazing and so was as the fried chicken. The greens were also good and the red beans and rice were also. The place was very loud, hard to hear the person next to you speak. The server was very nice and helpful. If you want to talk with your party, it is probably best to sit outside. One thing I found interesting is the 1.5 hour time limit that' they have. We were told that once we are seated, then a timer starts. We had 1.5 hours to order the food and eat it all before we are asked to leave. Having flown 6 hours to celebrate a birthday here, it was a lot of hype but very low delvery. Hoping it improves over time, not sure if we would come back to be honest.

Food was excellent, we had a great cocktail, a bit expensive but worth it. Our waiter Blake was great, gave us suggestions, was pleasant. We will be back
This is our second time to eat here, and they didn't disappoint! Great employees and delicious food!

We sat outside which was fine however the table was uneven and kept wobbling back and forth as we ate. Further disappointment came when I ordered the Catfish Dinner and one 1 one piece of catfish came with this $25 dollar plate. Are you serious, one piece that had flaky batter on it and crumbled to pieces. Clearly had been pre fried and sitting until I arrived apparently. Won’t come here again. Overrated and Over priced for one piece of fish.
