Blast from the Past classic experience! My daughter said it was one of the best burgers? she ever ate, the fries were fresh and crispy, the corn dog was devoured and we both absolutely loved the extremely generous portioned chocolate vanilla swirl ice cream cones!?There is plenty of parking and several picnic tables for seating.
I come here time to time because it’s always been good and I noticed recently this year 2024 it has gone down completely not just because of the homelessness that is right there or how dirty it is around the facility But the food isn’t the same. It’s very salty or seems like it has a frost freeze on the food and the oil that cooks the fries seems dirty as well. I spent $30 and I know that’s not a lot of money but I expected I’d have better food I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location anymore.Not sure if management is maintaining the freezer the oil and keeping the area clean.

I can only review their ice cream, I haven't ordered anything else. It reminds me of when I was a kid, so I love it. They only have chocolate and vanilla, and you can get cones chocolate dipped. I was they had cherry dip, but I'm sure that's not good for me anyway. They also have twisters which are candy mixed into the ice cream. If you're in the mood for a little nostalgic treat, give them a try.
The cook only will make ONE MEAL at a time this dude can't multi task at all period which took 30mins to get ONE MEAL. I was standing at the window when the cashier annoyed me and took a family instead at another window that came 10mins after me to take their ice cream order which I had to wait additionally for the cashier to make all their ice creams to place my order. This eagle rock fosters freeze is just ran so poorly I will never go back ever

Attendant was very kind in taking my order. The benches and chairs under the awning are nice too, so that you can relax while eating your treat. I got a butterfinger twister and it was delicious and fairly priced. ?
I love Foster's! Too bad my local store closed. I was in Eagle Rock and saw this one. Had to stop. Their soft serve is so smooth.

It was a hot day and I thought that I would cool off by getting an ice cream cone. I was waiting in a short line as I noticed that there was only one employee. What caught my attention was that he was collecting money but also serving food including cones with NO gloves. Some of the cones did not have the paper wrapping around them. I decided to go with the ice cream in a cup. This was the only issue that I had. The ice cream is average. I don't think that I will go back but you can try it if you'd like.

Love this spot!! :) Fosters freeze ice cream shop takes you back to a bygone era. It still holds the aesthetics of an ice cream shop right out of the 50s. The ice cream is hands down one of the best I've had. It's nothing fancy or over the top as some of the more modern creameries pride themselves to be, but it's straight forward old school ice cream and they nail it. Banana spits, root beer floats, chocolates dipped cone, it's all there. They also have their version of Dairy Queen's Blizzards, which are more decedent and every bit delicious. They have old fashion burgers and hot dogs, which are equally as tasty. The lines can be long on the weekend and hot summer days, so you may have to wait a bit, but the service is usually pretty speedy. Swing on by the next time you want a great old fashion ice cream cone.
