Seafood was fresh and oysters were amazing. I would definitely recommend the steak tartar burger as well. Excellent service. Outdoor seating with heating made a great outdoor dining experience!!
5/5.
Parking: Come prepared to drive around a few minutes before you find parking. We found parking a few blocks away.

The menu here is exciting and delicious. The Sicilian crudo, scallop tostada and peel and eat prawns were all delicious as well as the specials. A nice spot to eat outdoors.
Popped in last night for a dinner after a flight from New York. We had a wonderful raw bar appetizer with some delicious oysters, a Steak Tartare Burger, and a Cod Sandwich all of which were wonderful! Our server James was attentive and a lot of fun to chat with, and also a recent re-transplant from NYC as well. Loved our time here and will come back!

Great spot for fresh oysters, lobster roll rivals Broad Street Oyster Co, fried fish sandwich is good too.

Wow. I don’t think there’s anything bad on the menu here. Classic foods with a modern twist - all amazing flavors with just the right balance of salt, acid and heat. The oysters were amazing as were the mussels and the crab salad. The scallop tostada was a standout as well, and the lobster roll was great.
On top of the food service was fast and friendly and the small space had a great vibe.

The only jarring thing about the experience was an automatic 20% gratuity on a table for 2. Idk what that was about but really ruined my experience.

Hello! Are you a human being living in or visiting Los Angeles? Do you miss lazy days lingering over a great glass of wine, eating bites that make you say, "oh!", and the kind of bars where people actually speak to one another?
If you answer 'yes' to any of these questions, do yourself an immediate favor and visit Found Oyster.
Yes it is walk-ins only. Sure, the seats are uncomfortable. By golly, is it pricey. Should you care about any of those things? No, you should not. Once you are ensconced in a seat - cozy table for two, bar stool, or outdoor table - drinking some glass of natural wine you've never heard of and eating the best fried oyster of your life outside of New Orleans, all you are going to feel is privilege and joy.
This is some of the best seafood in Los Angeles and some of the best people running the joint. No, I do not personally know any of them. Yes, I am convinced they are some of the only folx in this city committed to putting the 'hospitality' in the hospitality business.
Plus the food is just really, really good. Do not miss out on the fresh oysters (royale if you are fiesty. They're not just an upsell, they're DELICIOUS); the steak tartare burger (trust me. T R U S T. If you skip this you are missing out on the best onion rings of your life); the crab dip (acid! salt! brine! deliciousness!); and the aforementioned fried oysters. Also, save room for dessert, because pie or ice cream, you will leave with a smile on your face.
If you're really smart, you'll stroll through the neighborhood after your meal, take in the sunshine, and remind yourself why you like LA in the first place. Mostly, because of places like Found Oyster. Don't skip it!

I was in town for a few days and this was my first stop. Food was incredible, the Uni was to die for. Staff were all so friendly, they gave me recommendations for things to do and see in the city and we bought them shots for being so cool!
When I’m in LA again I’m coming back.

One of the best in LA. There have been a handful of meals in my life that were unfaultable. Food, service, atmosphere, nothing leaves you waiting or asking for more, every food item simple but excellent. This restaurant delivers a perfect dining experience every. single. time. It is in short consistently excellent. The team here is incredible and it shows. Not enough kind words.

The oysters and mussels were fantastic and fresh" I want more ! The bread was homemade goodness . But my scallop tostada was not seafood I could even taste, it was lost in spiced applesauce.
