We love Found Oyster!!! It’s like this restaurant was made for us!! Really good wine list with different varietals than some other local places, and orange wines! Every employee is genuinely happy to be there, and they are all knowledgeable and well versed! The food — Wow!! Everything is small and shareable, which is what we love ♥️♥️

Found Oyster has been on my list for awhile given the rave reviews, but I was very underwhelmed. Maybe I went on an off night. The atmosphere reminds me of an upscale version of Swan Oyster Depot in SF, down to the Sicilian sashimi offering. We ordered the oysters of the day, which came with a mignonette sauce that was way too harsh from the white vinegar used.I would skip the lobster roll. I expected a bit more for the price since it came on a very standard hot dog bun. The fries, which were the best part of the whole meal, were a copycat for McD’s but much saltier.Scallop tostada was unique with the yuzu apple sauce, while the special, spring pea salad, was extremely salty like other items on the menu.I feel bad giving this a low rating despite the friendly and attentive service! Overall it was a disappointing and underwhelming meal, especially at this price point (which included an automatic 20% service charge).

Absolute gem - food was phenomenal - highly recommend the smoked trout dip - and the team were a joy to interact with, to a tee. Recommend sitting at the bar. Great atmosphere, delightful interior design.

Food was very good but the waitress was even better!! Quite literally the best waitress I have ever had at a restaurant. She was patient kind, caring, and very thoughtful. She would be the main reason why I would come back!! Unfortunately I forget her name, but if the owners see this- she is blond hair with what sounded like an Eastern European or Russian accent possibly? Great experience!

This is a cute little raw bar with pretty good food and decent service, but the price point is just not a match for their offerings. Oysters are ~$4.50 (raw) or $7 (baked), which is what I'd expect to pay at the fanciest of restaurants. Peel and eat shrimp were $5 each, which is generally outrageous for peel and eat, but here in particular due to the very ordinary size of the shrimp and failure to devein them. Wedge salad had good bacon but eh dressing. 20% mandatory service charge gets added to every check, which the owner says is so he can pay his staff without dealing with "tipping culture," but that makes me suspicious since when a restaurant calls it "service charge" and not "tip" they are not legally obligated to pass it on to the staff. All in all, I don't think I'll be back... the food was good, but there are many spots with better food for the price.

Everything was delicious! This place was tiny but had an old classic vibe. My sister & I sat at the bar, and the customer service was excellent.

Found Oyster is solid. You have to come early or get really lucky to miss a wait, but even then it's always worth it. The specials board outside is what requires your immediate attention as those are generally some of the most creative dishes in the house. Their menu ranges from a concise, but precisely curated raw bar to an array of luxurious entrees. Like their Queen Street counterpart, DO NOT SLEEP on the land proteins and vegetable side dishes! Their seafood is high quality, but the rest of the menu deserves their flowers. Staff is always incredibly kind and attentive. Oh, and always order the clam chowder!

Food was not good. There's tons of places like this that are better. Staff did not seem happy. Also tableware was dirty. No thanks.

First time here and I am obsessed! The oysters were absolutely delicious. They were fresh, creamy and not very briney. The crudo was another pleasant surprise. We got the large which is about 6oz of fish, enough to share for two people. The scallop tostada was so very tasty, a little sweet and a little salty. After all the fresh seafood we had the lobster roll with fries. It was ok but not as good as all the fresh raw seafood. We sat at the bar to and everyone that helped us was very friendly. I wasn't sure which wine I wanted to order and they let me sample a couple of white wines and gave me suggestions. Honestly I would return based solely on the service. I wish I lived closer so I could go back often. This place is easy to miss, had to drive by twice before spotting it. It's located next to a large vegan market.

Found Oyster is a great spot for seafood lovers. The cozy and intimate atmosphere creates the perfect setting for a delightful dining. The show: the oysters! Whether you like them briny, sweet, or creamy, you won't be disappointed. They also have a menu filled with other delicious seafood dishes. From lobster rolls, fried fish sandwich, and the best sashimi, everything is prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors are bold and amazing. Keep in mind that they can get quite busy.

Made a trip out to LA from CO to see a beloved musician play, and Found Oyster was top of the list to try. My husband and I went to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and the waitress we had was kind, fun, knowledgeable, and engaged. We believe her name was Greta- thank you for the experience and kudos to the chef for all the delicious eats!! Sicilian crudo and cod fish sandwich top notch, but everything was delicious- def try the oysters as well!

So sorry to have to write this here but myself and a friend both genuinely tried calling the restaurant to let them know, but no one picked up multiple days of calling. We both got norovirus from eating oysters here. We paid upwards of $200 for poisoned food. Waitstaff was kind and rest of the food tasted great but I don’t know what else to do to make sure other people don’t get sick. I already contacted the California board of health’s food safety division.
