My gf and I randomly stopped in and we got some of the best iced lattes we’ve ever had. Chocolate croissant was amazing as well and the gentleman working was very kind. Will definitely be back
They are closed on Sunday and they didn’t update it on google I drove 20 minutes for nothing
Best chocolate rugelach I've ever had. Way better than any other place in town (Canters, the Nosh, etc...) and even better than Rus & Daughters in NY.
I didn't know this going in, but this place has been around since the 1940s and was founded by a German refugee escaping the war. The recipes have been handed down for generations from the old country. It is an institution and city treasure that does absolutely nothing to advertise itself as such. A very unassuming place that stayed in business because of repeat customers - it says a lot!
Wonderful baked goods and excellent customer service. Love everything, especially the Rulugah and Bobkas!!
Simply interior, less of people, tasty cookies and good cappuccino.
the poppyseed pastries here are MY FAVORITE!! i can’t find these made properly anywhere but fred’s gets me right every time. every time i visit home i have to get these and their rye bread 🤩🤩

Solid Hamantaschen. The bigger ones are much, much better than the smaller ones (which tasted a little dry).
The service was mostly lovely, although I was asked if I wanted to tip because it needed to be added before they ran my credit card, and it was a little off-putting to be put on the spot like that.

I have never been here before and stopped in for a bagel. I grabbed a croissant as well. The croissant was one of the best croissants I've ever had. Delicous!!! The bagel was good as well. I live in Santa Monica and would definitely consider driving here just for the croissant. The owner had a great sense of humor and had me laughing during my visit.

Very delicious croissants!! I had an almond croissant that was very fresh with a fantastic marzipan filling. The chocolate croissant was also wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try more.

Just the bare essentials. The Bakery was heavy on sweets and light on bread and rolls. The sandwich side had some Mediterranean sandwich fillings, but no egg salad, chopped liver, or smoked fish.

I bought an almond croissant that was over $8.00 on top of that it was old and dry. How can they charge so much when they can’t even have fresh bread.very disappointing.
Very little wait time the morning before the holiday. Lots available without having to pre-order. The challah was a good size, tasty and a reasonable price.
