The Mascot Korean restaurant in the Koreatown food court has been in business for a long time and is a mecca for seniors.
Most of the menu items are a bit spicy and have a strong salty and sour taste, so when ordering food, if you ask for it to be bland, they will tone down the seasoning.
I recommend the boiled water, dongtaetang, stir-fried pork, and stir-fried squid.

The ladies were RUDE! The food took a long time. Everyone in our party was almost done eating when this place had the order ready. Never again.

As some place that’s called Gamja Bawi, their gamja tang is so poorly tasted. Smelly, super small portions for to go. I would not recommend dining here.

The Bibimbap is so good. Not much meat at all (ONE OUNCE) but the meal includes soup and kimchee.

Unfortunately the low rating for this food court restaurant is absolutely correct. The attitude of the ladies working there is pretty awful. Food takes a long time to come out. Taste is mediocre. And price isn’t the friendliest (for a food court). They’ll charge extra for take out containers/to go orders as well. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

Got a recommendation on Reddit to try the dolsot bibimbap at Koreatown Plaza and couldn't be happier that I did. They serve a fantastic bowl of bibimbap and is probably the best I’ve ever had. Very hot with crispy rice clinging to the sides of the stone bowl. Will be back soon!

I'm not surprised to find this one of the lowest rated booths. I will NOT be coming here again. I asked the front worker if the rice cakes were vegetarian and she said yes. When I get the food, I find fish cake in it and it tastes like anchovy sauce had been put into it . . . That was very ignorant of her. Also, the stinginess here couldn't be any worse . . . They charge .25 for a to-go container. Service workers attitude--unkind. The potato pancakes was good.

Vegetarian options: Only the potato pancake seems to be vegetarian. One of the front workers don't seem to know what vegetarian means, are ignorant about how their food is made, or blatantly lie about certain dishes being vegetarian.

Nothing about this establishment was good. We ordered seafood soup and she comprehended what I told her was a little bit of spicy not too much. We received our order and the soup was not how we ordered it. I proceed to ask her if she can remake it and she started arguing with me, and proceed to give us dirty seafood water to put into our soup. Eat else where

Price for some meals rised beyond reasoable and the size of my favorite seafood panpack also shirnks dramatically. Foods are authentic but not worth it when factoring in the poor attitude and dining enviroment.

YUM. I got the beef bolgogi for my boyfriend and beef bibimbap for myself to go, and both were SO GOOD. The sauce the bap comes with is spicy so if you’re not used to it (like myself) I would mix in a little as you go!
