I regret not reading the reviews for this place. I just saw a review with the exact same problem we had, about 2 months ago so they clearly did not improve. This was me and my friend's first time eating korean bbq. We are visiting LA for the first time and wanted to try this place. The atmosphere was not very clean. I found leftover food on the side of my water cup. The water had a layer of grease on top when I left it in the cup for a bit. It was just not clean, very unhygienic. Our server didn't greet us, did not explain anything about the menu or how to order. He did not mention the salad bar or the meat bar. He did not check up on us not once. We had to call him everytime. He just looked like in such a rush the whole time that I wasn't even able to say out my order fully. On leaving, when I left no tip, the person at the host stand mentioned that tip was not included and I said I understand that and he just questioned if I'm not gonna leave a tip and I politely declined. It is the fact that after such a bad experience, he asked me if I was going to tip. I usually tip even when the service is bad but this was just next level bad. The only decent thing about this was the food but honestly even that you can find in better places with better service.

Great spot for our party of 9. Meats came out fast and the self serve meat and banchan bar was excellent. Grill change was always a priority for the staff and we were able to eat for the full 2 hour time limit.
Parking is validated for 2 hours but we decided to walk across the street for dessert. I would recommend waiting until you reach 2 hours for parking and then validate with the QR code so you take advantage of the full discount. Otherwise you continue to be charged thereafter if you stay longer.

my partner and i have been semi-regulars here for a while, coming by at least once a month. we used to LOVE this place but after going back recently, we might have to start trying other KBBQ places :( the meat quality has gone down so much since our last visit, with the brisket being extremely dry and tough, nothing like it used to be šŸ˜” and that was my favorite thing to get too! not sure if they’ve changed their meat provider or quality but we’ve definitely noticed a difference.

We tried Gangnam out for the first time yesterday and it left a lot to be desired.

1) Service sucked - We waited upwards of 10 minutes multiple times to get a grill change, order more meat, or get rice. We didn’t order a lot and somehow still had a bunch of dirty dishes on our table for the entire meal. I would wave down a server and they would ignore us and go on seating more people despite not serving the ones already seated.

2) Meat Bar is CLOYINGLY sweet. Every single meat was sweet except the garlic chicken (fake garlic butter) and plain pork belly.

3) Their brisket is simultaneously very fatty and the meat is dry. I don’t know how this is possible.

4) Tofu stew has super fatty, unrendered pork belly slices floating around. Not seasoned well. Just bad. I pulled the meat out and grilled it to render the soft, chewy fat.

5) Sauces - None worth getting excited about. Gen (pretty low bar) has better sauces. Want Cho does too.

6) Flat metal chopsticks…. Very annoying to eat with. I’ve used chopsticks since I was a child, these are crap.

7) Bathroom and hallway are FILTHY

Showed up at 11:32 and was declined service. Owners need to update google maps to reflect correct hours. Servers could have been more polite when they turned me away. A sign outside the restaurant that says ā€œclosedā€ would have saved me a lot of embarrassment.

This was such a cool experience dining on top of a train station. It has the best marinated galbi and it was so unique that we made shin ramen ourselves. I’ve never experienced that before.

Pretty decent meat options at different price points. Service was decent although there wasn’t much extra service after our initial order, and the meat was good just slightly fatty which some prefer. Would stop in again!

Meat quality is cheap and over priced they're selling spoiled pork to customers you can tell by the smell when its cooking and by the taste. The restroom is very disgusting there is dirt in every corner of the women's restroom you can tell they don't clean the restrooms at all the floors are disgusting The sinks are dirty with grime. I could only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Definitely not what they use to be. Customers beware!

For an AYCE KBBQ spot, the quality was incredible! For only $41.99 for the 45 item menu, the prime ribeye and beef tongue were tender and flavorful, and the unlimited japchae, salad, and kimchi were a great bonus. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. Plus, 2-hour free parking validation is a rare win in K-Town. Definitely worth it and can’t wait to come back!

Why are you charging kids adult price, and why are you automatically adding 18% tip on my credit card? Maybe i was dissatisfied with the service received., or maybe i was extremely satisfied and i wanted to leave cash on the table. Why do you need to tell me how much i need to leave a tip!.. This is not Korea, it's the United States of America!.. We decide what we want to tip, not you!..

They don't split the check nor them for 2 cards and the waiter was consistently lowering the flame.
