The Bayonne Ham pizza was amazing!!!
I was really excited to come to this place, but the woman attending us was really rude, she looked at us in a bad way, and she didn't came back to take our order, I was waiting there for a long time, I wanted so bad to try the food and the wine but her attitude killed my mood, I just got a coffee for my sister and since she didn't came back to take the rest of the order I just pay for that coffee and left, I did a long trip to come all the way here just to visit this place but it was for nothing, the only nice person there was the man at the entrance, but I hope she can improve her attitude with all people because she was only nice with the Asian and White people there, she was so fast to attend them too.
Just went for some wine at happy hour. Wonderful wines, lovely ambiance, great service. I would have loved to stay for food...but had plans somewhere else. It IS rather hidden - but keep lookiing. It's a great find!!
Lovely “outdoor” patio that create an ideal ambience for a French cafe. Only open for brunch over the weekend. The quiche had a delicious crust and it was accompanied by a frisee salad with a nice vinaigrette. Very kind service. Would love to come back for dinner.
Had the oddest interaction yesterday 10.12.24 when I stumbled upon this place during an event called Broadway night lights - which was exceptional!
I'm surveying places to take my friend when he comes to visit. Decided to sample some cocktails and maybe an appetizer. However, I didn't get to because the workers, the owner, whoever, were so evasive.
I had on sweats, a hat and a shirt. Didn't look disheveled. Therea were two entrances. I went to the side that had the bar because I saw an older gentleman who was dressed similarly. Before walking in, a Hispanic worker saw me and I asked him if it was OK to enter with the way I'm dressed because some establishments have strict dress codes. I wanted to adhere, even if this establishment is in the middle of a strip mall on a street overrun with homeless but I digress.
He told me that he didn't know and that I had to ask the owner. There was a slim white? bald man on the shorter side of 5'7" who obviously heard the conversation a because it was only us 3 around, no noise and he was within an arms length distance. I assumed he was the owner because the Hispanic guy kept chanting "ask the owner". I even asked if he was the owner and he said nothing. It was perplexing. If it was Halloween already I would've thought it was part of the act but it's not.
A reasonable worker would have asked if I needed help. He a just kept trying to avoid eye contact and grimaced when the Hispanic man kept telling repeating that I had to talk to the owner. I don't want to be presumptive but I felt there could've been some underlying tones. As a black woman, I don't want to bring race into, so I'll just leave it here, but that was for sure an uncomfortable situation. I just left

It is a space that generates a romantic and pleasant atmosphere, evoking a French cafe from the layout, lighting, decoration and atmosphere.
On this occasion we did not try the food menu, but it is extensive and promising.
Regarding drinks, it has some specialty drinks and an attractive wine list.
We were able to try the Espresso Martini, which has an extraordinary balance in its ingredients, as well as the Blackberry-Mint Julep, a robust drink, rich in citrus flavors.
A plus is that the space is Pet Friendly
We will definitely be back to try the full menu! ?

Super chill French chill spot.
French wine bar in DTLA - definitely a hidden gem tucked away in a mall (?) entrance but absolutely worth the visit. Well-curated wine list, almost exclusively French staff who will charm you away with their wittiness and hospitality. We specifically enjoyed the scallops with black truffle and the garlic bread (sorry but it’s too die for). Can also recommend the escargot if you enjoy the texture - the taste was on point. Would definitely recommend for a laid back dinner vibe with friends

We organized an Apero Francophone here for the Bastille day and it was just a great night.
The bartender and owner was overwhelmed with how many people we brought but kept it up all night. Kept their calmed and served out orders one by one.
Beautiful little parisien bar in Los Angeles!

Fantastic evening yesterday at Garçons de Café, downtown Los Angeles, for a special event with Chef of Cafe Leza. Whenever you come, you will find a curated selection of French wine (and wine from all around the world) and the owner, Mathieu, will help you to pair it with delicious cheese and charcuterie plates. No wonder it is called « your extension living-room ». I will come back!
