Really good fragrant, soft, fluffy Japanese milk bread. It operates out of a ghost kitchen where you can pickup in person or from your car. Expensive, but worth it once in a while as a treat.

This review is only on the bread as it was a X’mas gift. At first I didn’t understand how on earth a loaf of bread can cost $18 and being packaged as a gift?Well, I followed the instruction on best way to enjoy it. I finished 1/2 loaf in December and froze the other 1/2.Now it’s January, I took out the other 1/2 and let it defrost on its own over the counter, then sliced a thick slice, gently toasted and enjoyed it daily. Now, I’m eating the last piece. ?This is by far the BEST bread I have ever had!!! It’s unbelievable how well it freezes and it tastes as good as fresh! It is worth every dollar of it. I would get more except there is only one location and it very far. I will put it on my wishlist to Santa.??

Best white bread you can get on earth. Didn’t know I could get this excited to eat white bread. It’s like bread from the high heaven accidentally fell down for us mortals to taste.

I'm 73 years old born and raised in California and this is what I love about California so many surprises. So many wonderful different types of food and people. My father used to say Pamela there's only one race and it's called human and everybody in Los Angeles brings flavor to our state and our city called Los Angeles. But anywhere in Southern California you'll find great surprises all you have to do is look this bread is beyond amazing it would be a wonderful Christmas gift or Easter gift yes it's a little expensive at $18 a loaf plus tax but it's a gift somebody won't forget very soon God bless you all sincerely Pamela
I love their bread. Try not to go right at lunch time and you can get waited on quicker
Ginza Nishikawa only sells shokupan, a Japanese milk bread. It is the softest, fluffiest white bread that you will taste. It melts in your mouth. There are no preservatives; ingredients are just ionized water, cream, butter, honey, and Japanese white flour. Sooooo good. It's delicious on its own, or get creative with recipes - french toast, sandwiches, avocado toast...It used to be difficult to get a loaf, like a Black Friday doorbuster, but they seem to have expanded their options so if you can't order in advance, you can also order from Locale and Goldbelly. They also have a limited supply of loaves available for walk-ins. Follow their IG for pop-ups around town.Located inside the Colony; street parking. Highly recommend!

The bread is very good. It’s soft and little sweet. But it’s $20 per loaf. Considering the price, it won’t be a everyday bread for an ordinary average person like me ?
I finally bought it. There is a pick-up point in the Chinese area. I can't stop eating it. It's so delicious. I bought 3 pieces in one go and ate them slowly.
It is more than just a milked bread. Well, even though it is hard to get, and it is very expensive, but, for bread lover, Ginza Nishikawa's milk bread is a must try, at least once in a while. In Japan, it is called shokupan and it is made with special ingredients. The best way to enjoy the bread is - eat fresh without topping for the first day, adding toppings on the second and toast it after. It should be good for a few days.
Ginza Nishikawa's Japanese milk bread lived up to the hype. It was so buttery, soft, and sweet not overly sweet.
