I wanted to like this place so bad, the prices were good and it was all organic so I was sold. However, after driving all the way from Manhattan Beach to this place I ordered the Just Egg sandwich and found that my cheese was cold, and there was a bug (fly) in my food. *sigh* Was NOT worth the drive. I’m so disappointed.
Glowing Eatery is a little sanctuary of health and flavor tucked right next to Cookbook Market in Echo Park. It’s 100% vegan, but you don’t need to be plant-based to appreciate what’s going on here—just someone who enjoys food that tastes good and makes you feel better after eating it.
The menu is thoughtful, vibrant, and seasonal. I had one of their bowls—hearty, colorful, and full of texture, with roasted veggies, grains, and a perfectly zippy house-made dressing. Their smoothies and fresh-pressed juices are just as carefully done: not too sweet, not too watery, just right. And the baked goods? Yes, they’re vegan—and yes, they’re actually delicious.
It’s a small space, more counter-service than café, but it’s warm, welcoming, and exactly what you’d want from a neighborhood vegan spot. You can eat in or take your food to go, and they also stock some pantry items and wellness goods if you’re browsing post-lunch.
Everything here feels like it’s been chosen with care—from the ingredients to the people behind the counter. Whether you’re vegan, veg-curious, or just in the mood for something nourishing, Glowing Eatery lives up to its name.
The Chickpea Tuna sandwiches we ordered were sooo good. We all ordered one and they were both tasty and filling. They were a decent size for the price. The only suggestion would be that the ingredients are distributed a bit better, we found that one half was way messier than the other half, maybe it was the heavier ingredients moved to the bottom since we got them to go and ate them at the Dodger Game (the jealous looks we got from everyone around us!!). We will definitely do the same plan for the next dodger game we go to!
We have gone twice and tried breakfast and lunch sandwiches and both my partner and I have been thoroughly impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Awesome selection of vegan treats and snacks.
Awesome little vegan place! I had the breakfast burrito and it was a 10 out of 10! Also had the “medi-date” smoothie and it was great. The food is a bit pricey but I really enjoyed it.
Tried this place while visiting town recently, incredible food on the menu and A+ service. Excellent location and a ton of selections in their mini-market
Cute cafe with vegan food, smoothies, and groceries! We came in here for lunch and everyone was really friendly and the food was great. I got the Italian and my partner got the BLT and both were great! Absolutely could've told me they weren't vegan and I would have believed you! Also saw zach woods on our way out the door which was fun 😊

One of the cutest vegan places I've come across in SoCal. The chocolate brownie is SO rich and full of chocolate that it is indistinguishable from a non vegan doughnut. Definitely a hot place for people who are traveling and want a quick & affordable snack. The protein oatmeal is $7 and tastes so great; the only small complaint I have is the protein powder sits at the bottom.

This is my fav place to get healthy food in this area. Always so fresh and they use organic foods. Huge fan, highly recommend for a smoothie or acai bowl!

Matt is awesome! He helped me today after the husky guy with the black beanie who was standing at the register when I walked in left me hanging. I walked in and walked up straight to the register and beanie guy who was standing there didn’t say hi or let me know he would be helping me out shortly because clearly he found it more important to start a whole conversation about his hair appointment next door with one of the hair stylist when she was over by the fridge shopping as I waited at the register. It would be different if the conversation was already going on before I walked in or walked up to the register but he started that conversation instead of saying hi or anything to me while I stood there. And even after all that beaning guy didn’t say hi or sorry and refused to acknowledge me, a customer, as he walked in front of me heading towards the espresso machine because he knew he was rude about it. There is a time and place for everything and I doubt they pay him to ignore paying customers who have been loyal since day one. I’m all about the food but service is very important to me and so I’m not feeling motivated to return any time soon and encounter the same energy because it left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I asked if they shared tips so I wouldn’t tip but then again Matt was too awesome not to. Thanks again Matt for the awesome customer service.

Today was my first time hearing of this place.
I was craving a sandwich and was so happy to have found this was nearby! I ordered the BLT sandwiches to-go for my husband and I and we both enjoyed it! Can’t wait to eat here again and share with my other family and friends ☺️

Stopped by for some sandwiches, and even the non-vegans in the group agreed it was delicious . I ordered the chick pea tuna salad, absolutely delicious!!
