I was in downtown LA and I had read about this place so we decided to give it a try. Small cute place in there DTLA location. Ordered a mini taco sampler which was a perfect recommendation. First off, this is not a regular taco shop so be open minded. There guisados are delicious Very favorable and unique in there own special way. Each taco hit my palette differently. There tortillas where just as awesome. It left me craving for more. My only complaint was that they use a frijol guisado as a base to all there tacos which a felt took away from each guisado. My favorite of the bunch was the mole. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu.

Guisados in Downtown LA may look unassuming from the outside, but it ended up being the best Mexican meal we had during our entire trip to the US. The moment the food arrived, it was clear this place focuses on quality above everything else.
I ordered the 6 mini taco sampler, which offers smaller portions of their regular tacos. Altogether it works out to roughly the size of two and a half full tacos, and every single one was packed generously with flavourful fillings. The Cochinita Pibil and the Frijoles with Queso were real standouts, each with its own bold, rich taste.
The Quesadilla con Chorizo was another highlight, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. My drink, the Armando Palmero, was incredibly refreshing and bursting with flavour. Our server recommended it, and her suggestion was spot on. She provided excellent service throughout the meal, friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of the food they serve.
This spot is a true gem, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Downtown LA.

You have to come to this place if you want to eat authentic and amazing tacos ! Everything was so good and flavorful. My favorite was the Chille Renello tacos. The staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and warm ! I really recommend it
The best guisado de chicharrón I had. The food temp is very hot. So, be careful. The horchata was real too. It wasn't the water downed condensed milk. I'll be back, definitely.

Delicious just like any of the other locations. Had quite a few items and everything is amazing! Gluten free and plenty of veggie and vegan options. Also delicious for meat eaters, shrimp options and they even had ceviche tostadas and they looked awesome! Had both cucumber lemonade and Armando Palmero, excellent.

Visiting from NYC. I come to LA a lot for work and these are the BEST tacos I've come across so far. They taste INCREDIBLE. Slightly smaller than average (which I prefer because it gives you just enough to crave more and not get overwhelmed) but the ingredients and compositions are elite. Even the tortillas are sweet and slightly chewy - they almost taste like pancakes or Trinidadian roti to me they are so delicious and unlike any other tortillas that I've had. This will be a must meal for me going forward whenever I am in LA.
