The food was on point and service was excellent. We’ll definitely be back for the steaks!
Really a great place for a very nice meal. My husband enjoyed his New York strip stake, and I my scallops. The bread was excellent as was the dessert. Service was good and unobtrusive. It was not trying to be a two-star Michelin restaurant, which was good because it delivered a very solid one-star for a very solid price.
I have ordered some holiday items from Gwen and The Pie Room in the past and have been looking forward to the full dining experience. Unfortunately it was a cold winter night and we were seated in the outdoor/indoor atrium area. It was quite cold out there and I really felt separate from the restaurant so the ambiance was lacking. Service is top notch. The spatzle and mushrooms were not what I imagined - they had a lot of what seemed was vinegar? Other than that the steak is of course delicious although there are a few other restaurants that come to mind that make an equally good steak for half the price. If you are going to seat patrons in the atrium area you really should specify that in the reservation as other restaurants do. All the photos I've seen of the restaurant are of the cozy booths and chandeliers. Makes me feel like you are trying to get creative in providing more seating after the fact. As in this was not part of the original restaurant plan. I walked away disappointed considering the cost of dinner.
Food was fabulous and the service good! We got caught in traffic and were 14 min late but called to notify and the reception desk was not nice. Other than that it was worth a visit and will do it again when going to the pantages.
I called this evening to ask if there happened to be any openings or cancellations around 6:00 pm. The man who answered told us the only available time was 9:00 pm. When I politely asked if there was anything earlier, his only response was a single word: “Nine.”
I understand that availability is limited and had no issue with there being no earlier openings. However, for a Michelin-star restaurant, I expected a higher level of professionalism and courtesy. The response came across as rude, curt, and condescending, which was disappointing.
Michelin recognition is about the overall experience, not just the food. A simple, kinder explanation would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with no desire to dine here in the future
Best bread I've ever had. The entire meal was great. We really enjoyed selecting our knives and the story behind each knife. Very unique. Chef Stone was expediting and stopped by our table. A true delight!
Exquisite customer service! The Chef's counter was such a fun experience. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!
Definitely an amazing experience I will never forget. I hope to return soon.

Our experience at Gwen was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making our table of four feel well cared for throughout the evening. The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and absolutely delicious. The pacing of the meal was perfect, allowing us to enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Service was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, striking the ideal balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our time together. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, making it an ideal setting for a special evening out. We left thoroughly impressed and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful restaurant with lovely booths so you feel a sense of privacy - we were 4. The food was excellent.
I loved my meal here, everything was delicious and the service was wonderful! My favorite items were the lobster ravioli (must order), the flat iron steak, and the side of creamed leeks & onions. We ordered a decent amount of food and they paced it out really well even though we had a later reservation time. I would definitely come back again!

What a delightful and wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, The bar is cozy with great staff and service. We took our drinks and complete dinner at the bar and were so glad we did. Drew was a perfect host. David, the cellar master, was a great presence recommending wine and pouring throughout the night. Even the master chef Curtis was out to present the truffles and steak. We highly recommend to anyone looking for that exceptional experience. My only downer was the dry aging wasn't as funky, cheesy as I would like. May have just been a weird batch. Every other time I have been the steaks have been unique and lovely. It just didn't match the huge price point of over $200. That said, all the accompaniments were lovely. Lamb ribs were incredible. Oysters and charcuterie top notch. The truffle tagliatelle was absolutely flavor incredible. I just wish for $100 it was a bit larger. Our party of three literally got two fork grabs each and it was gone. I know the truffles are crazy expensive, but even a bit more pasta would have been nice. I get the flavor per bite might be thinner, but it's hard to cope with one of the most tasty pastas ever with only two bites each. hahaha. A good problem to have. We will be back !and are looking forward.
I sat at the chef's counter which was really enjoyable. All of the staff were terrific, helpful and friendly. My server was very knowledgeable with wine pairing. And the bartenders, even though were busy, were super accommodating and friendly. This was my first visit, hopefully not my last!
Best steak I have ever had. I really enjoyed all the small details including a water menu, because I agree water isn't just water.
