The first time will be your worst time.
To start I parked right by the elevators. In front there was a sign that is easy to miss. It said that after a certain hour this area was for valet parking. If you’re not careful you’re in for an embarrassing treat.
I took an elevator without any indications it went to Hmart out of a sense of adventure. I asked the girl next to me if it went to Hmart and she said it does. I got off and it still seemed I was living the urban adventure of a life time. To my left I saw Hmart on a glass wall so I thought maybe that was it. Then a young man told me it was the home goods part of Hmart. lol! To be sure I saw they sell a cute pink fan! Then I walked in the opposite direction and it all became clear!
Behold Hmart to my left! It reminded me of the time I walked past some large tropical trees and saw Palenque emerge all of a sudden! It was a sight to behold! lol!
The store is as small as I remember it to be. It looks nicer after remodeling to be sure. Today’s mission was to find cheap mountain spring water and Nutella biscuits. I noticed there’s a pretty impressive fresh noodle section - not just Korean. Then I saw the seafood and meat area. I went forward to where Cocohodo was.
I passed by some cool little restaurants and noted to my horror that Cocohodo is gone! I went towards the store front and saw the alcohol section. The waters I was looking for were there. All the way at the bottom.
It looked really bad as the only prices I saw around were $2.99! This particular water is usually no more than a little less than two bucks. I took the leap of faith and put them in my trusty Shiseido shopping bag.
At the cash register I found out they cost $5.18 together. About $2.60 each. The cashier was a nice young lady programmed to say “Do you need a bag?” She started saying it when she got cut off by the sight of my bag. lol! The water tells the story that this store is not cheap. You pay for the vibrant urban experience I guess.
I didn’t find my cookies. I didn’t spot the cookie section on this trip.
So the store is really nice, and it has a vibrant urban feel to it, along with some handsome young Korean men, but the store is so small that you can expect some far less interesting things won’t be here, especially if there’s an extensive noodle section but that’s fine! This is why you came here remember?
Parking is in an underground structure. I returned the way I came in and the handsome young Korean guy came in to the elevator too. The elevator was still confusing and the handsome young Korean guy in the cashier line next to mine looked at the floor immediately as I looked toward him for help. lol! You show your receipt with your ticket to the person in the exit booth. That’s validation here.
Compared with other Korean markets, it is more expensive.
Has legitimate apple tea. I bought all that was in the cooler.
Everything cool love how they mixed the Asian store and the American store together .
Worst experience I’ve ever had!
My mom told me to take the parking ticket to the first register to get validation stamp like the cashier told us. I went over and handed the ticket to the first register employee and she just automatically throws it on the floor without me saying a word! I was so shocked of her behavior!(later I found out from the other cashier I need to show the receipt) I picked up the ticket and told her she should’ve just told me so instead of throwing the ticket on the floor and it was super rude of her. She rolled her eyes at me and told me she thought I caught the ticket.. (like what??) I put the ticket and receipt on the counter this time instead of handing it to her and didn’t say a word to her. She handed them to the guy inside and told us to go in and get it ourselves. My mom had to go through the lines again and back into the entrance of the supermarket to get to the guy inside to get the validation ticket and she was super made this time too. It is so ridiculous!
I always liked shopping at other H Marts before and this is our first time at this location, worst experience ever! And I will not go back to this location again and I suggest you all not to either if you don’t want to be treated like this! And to whoever is in charge of this location, you guys should really be wise with who you’re hiring that is representing your company! Customer service plays the biggest role and this is how your employee treats your customers. This is insane! If I could gave a negative star to write this review, I would have! Below is a video of the employee that had such inhuman behavior.
One of my favorite place for grocery's shopping. There is various peppers ? .
If you don't purchase more than $30, you will be charged a parking fee. I had no choice but to pay for parking because it didn't seem to be well-announced. It only says that it's free for 1 hour and doesn't seem to indicate how much you have to purchase to be free.
I loved be this place!!
I like going here but the only problem I have is that the kimchi bags are all similar in size. I don't know where to weigh the bag as well to learn the possible cost before the register.
costumer service and merchandise good

Very bleak, unfriendly day place, even for Koreatown. I shall never go back there.
Cool foreign selections
This H Mart carries everything and it’s convenient and that it’s in the City Center/Koreatown. As with anything LA, the grocery store itself is more compact and there is parking in the structure right adjacent to the center with a few floors.
Nice selection of Asian goods. Great potato chip selection and beers
Parking cost $15 if you don’t spend $30
Plenty grocery shops around that doesn’t charge you in less than 5 mins away. Never coming back
Greedy business that doesn’t care about customers only their wallet
