Just as tasty as the Ikkousha branch in Toronto.

I ordered the soba with a request for soft noodles, but what I got was quite firm and tough.
The broth was noticeably salty.
The pork slices were extremely thin (around 0.2 mm) and not too big or small size only 1 piese — for the price of $16.50, it didn’t feel worth it.

The chicken karake was also very salty — a bit too intense on its own. It might go well with rice, but with ramen, it’s a bit overwhelming and could be a concern for anyone watching their sodium intake. (High blood pressure)

Also they are charg for spicy for $1.50 each

Ramen was ok but the 🥟 were good!
Service was on top of things and served us quickly even when I didn’t want mushrooms so kudos! Parking is hard to find here and I went on a Sunday too.

It’s my favorite spot for a spicy broth. You can adjust the spiciness and their karaage spicy or not spicy is also really good. Just make sure to check if there’s a wait time during dinner time because it can get pretty packed!

Ordered mentaiko tonkotsu ramen — no flavor. Less flavor than those ramen kits you can buy online. I didn’t taste the richness that the tonkotsu broth should have, not to mention the flavor of mentaiko.
As a reference I’ve had ramen in different places in Japan, I know what the basic threshold is. What I had today definitely didn’t pass the threshold.

We came here on a whim. We’ve walked past it a few times and tonight was the night. The guest next to us was so inebriated he was drooling on himself and dropping food o. His chest and lap. He attempted conversation with us but couldn’t compose sentences (not the restaurant’s fault).

We ordered the cabbage salad, gyoza, spicy chicken karage, and the spicy miso ramen with everything, and the God Fire (level 2). The cabbage salad was the best item we ate. The ramen didn’t have much flavor outside of the spice. I’d pass on the gyoza and karage.

Service was what we expected once we saw that we circled our own order sheets and handed them off. They pretty much brought the food out all at once and that’s the end of service till the bill is due.

We checked our bill as per others recommendations (I looked at reviews after). Bill was on point with no additional charges.

All in all I’d rate this as a good lunch place or early food spot before a night of drinking.

The umami in this ramen is insane! Came in on a busy Saturday and got seated immediately. You fill out a little paper with how you'd like your ramen. I got the classic tonkotsu with premium topping, extra egg, and an extra noodle! Service was lovely and the people dining by us were regulars and super friendly. The flavor was SO good. It made me realize I've been going to a few subpar chains recently, hahaha. This place is legit. Honestly, a hidden gem. And I love that there's a Book Off walking distance from here, lol. Absolutely 10/10.

I was on a business trip and stopped by this restaurant for a meal. There was little service, the staff was not welcoming, and the food was not authentic.

We went to this restaurant as a group of 5 and were treated very rudely. A short-haired man (probably the store owner) violently snatched the payment terminal from his wife's hand in front of their 4-year-old child, then yelled, ``Pay now and leave! You're not welcome!'' **

The reason for this was that he made a mistake in billing twice and overcharged. When we pointed it out, instead of apologizing, they behaved even worse.

If you eat here, be sure to check your bill!

The taste is not authentic and the texture of the noodles is also bad.

Our group of five dined at this restaurant today and was treated extremely rudely. A short-haired man, possibly the owner, aggressively snatched the payment terminal from my wife’s hands right in front of our four-year-old child and reacted at us to pay immediately and leave, yelling, “You’re not welcome here!”

The reason? He overcharged us twice, and when we caught his mistake, instead of apologizing, he became aggressive and rude.

If you still choose to eat here, be extremely careful and double-check your bill!

The taste is not authentic, and the noodles have a poor texture

This place is an absolute scam. Do NOT come here! I came with my kid and an elderly family member to have ramen, and the experience was beyond terrible.

First, when we walked in, this short guy with a bad attitude tried to seat us at the bar by the door. We asked if we could sit at an empty table nearby, and only then did he let us. No greeting, no basic courtesy.

Then, when it was time to order, there was ZERO explanation—nothing. It was our first time there, and he just told us to write down our order ourselves. It took us about 10 minutes to figure everything out.

The ramen? Absolutely disgusting. Super cheap ingredients, a thick layer of grease floating on top, and the meat tasted like it wasn’t even fresh. None of us could finish it.

The restroom was absolutely filthy and disgusting.

Now, here’s where it gets really bad: When we went to pay, this guy OVERCHARGED us. When we pointed it out, he insisted he was right. Only after we went through the bill line by line did he finally redo it—without a single apology. Then, the second bill he brought us was even MORE expensive than the first! Again, he claimed there was no mistake until we made him check it again. Only on the THIRD try did he finally give us the correct total.

At this point, his attitude was straight-up nasty. I was pissed, but I still planned to tip 10%, which I thought was reasonable given his behavior. But the moment he saw me enter 10%, he snatched the POS machine right out of my hand and aggressively told me to “hurry up and pay and get out.”

I called him out on his attitude, and he straight-up said, “This is just how I am.” I was done. I changed my mind on tipping and left him nothing. Paid my bill and got out.

As we were leaving, he kept saying we weren’t welcome and telling us to “get out.” Unbelievable. I have no idea how this place is still in business. The food is bad enough, but the service is beyond disrespectful.

To anyone reading this—CHECK YOUR BILL before you pay!

Kid-friendliness: Do not recommend bringing children—they are not kid-friendly at all.

Certainly one of the better ramen joints in LA.
But their broth can be stronger and the max spicy level should be more spicy.
Overall not bad.

You can enjoy delicious Hakata ramen made by the Japanese owner. It's even more touching when you eat it in America.

My bf and I tried the black devil and god fire. We went to the max for spice level. The ramen did not have flavor. It was just spicy which what we asked but there was no combination of flavor and spicy. But the food presentation was very nice.

I couldn't forget the excitement I had when I ate it in Canada, so I tried it, but I guess it's not only at the Japanese level, but also at the average level in America. As mentioned in other people's comments, the taste was bland and I didn't really feel the flavor. I'm disappointed.
Also, I was concerned about hygiene when I saw the person cooking the food without wearing a mask and clearing his throat before plating the food with his bare hands.
