They are always so kind. The cupcakes are absolutely delicious. A little bit on the pricey side but so worth it. I drive 45 minutes with my sweet tooth calls for it.

VERY, VERY SHOCKED AT THE PRICES FOR THIS PLACE!
Hansens has been my go to for all my family’s birthday cakes for 15+ years. Usually I’m pretty content with the basic cake designs. I have been a HUGE fan of the basket style cake, and the prices the cakes are set at. I called today to ask for a quote for a basic 2 layer heart cake. I was heartbroken to be told it would be $135 for an 8 inch cake. I understand the heart design has become more and more popular over the years, but $130 is INSANE!! The general 8 inch round cake is $45, so for it to be a heart and it’s 3X the price is terrible. I wanted to call and ask for the owner to share my outrage, but sadly, I was told by the rude woman who answered the phone he wasn’t going to take my call. Walmart has this cake listed for $28 in 10”, is the cake just as good, probably. I’m sad to say I’ll have to go to Walmart to get a heart shaped cake, at a lower price, because Hansens clearly isn’t going to produce a cake for less than $130.

The cupcakes were DRY and hard, Yall quality went down and yall just lost a regular whose family comes here for every birthday party and family event.how yall raise the price and the quality sucks at the same time. I expected it to be the same or better since yall raised the price. Yall need to do better . Didnt even eat the cupcakes

I usually LOVE HANSENS DOWN yall. But all the cupcakes were DRY And seemed stale the only edible cupcake worth the calories was the red velvet. Its sad how they charge more now and the quality went down. I'm just too disappointed smh

It's a really slow business. I think they enjoy keeping the customers waiting.

The cake I ordered was delicious. However, I was disappointed with the service. They did not make the cake as I ordered and I should have get the refund immediately, without asking for it by phone call and emails.

The new owner Joe K. was very kind and personable. We were running late to buy cupcakes so he let us come in to buy some after they locked up. He even gave our dog a treat and our dog loved him! Plus, their cupcakes are always top notch!

Thanks Joe and the team at Hansen’s Bakery!

When I went to pick up my two cakes , I was so excited, but I saw one was chocolate buttercream, I didn’t realize I had selected that option, I wanted white
But the team at Hansens on Fairfax made my day! They immediately fixed the issue and just made my partners 30th Birthday much more amazing! It was such a delicious cake and beautiful!!
Thank you!!

We recently ordered a birthday cake for our daughter from Hanson’s Cakes, and while there was a small spelling mistake on the cake, what happened next truly blew us away. Joe, the owner, didn’t just apologize—he personally drove twice from Fairfax all the way to West LA to make things right. That kind of dedication and customer service is nearly impossible to find in this city anymore.

Joe went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and we were incredibly touched by the care and effort he put in. We also want to give a big shout-out to Jennifer, who works at Hanson’s—she was kind, responsive, and a total pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process.

The cake itself was delicious as always—Hanson’s never disappoints on quality—but what stood out most was the integrity and heart behind the business. Thank you, Joe and Jennifer!
