Horrible experience. I emailed inspiration photos and did not get what I asked for. I also wanted the name on top of the cake. I was told because it was a sunday there was no one there who could fix it. Flaws: The gold drips are all uniform "same length." You can clearly see the brush strokes on the icing. The cake overall looks poorly decorated and cheap. I tried my best to spruce it up and make it look better, but in the end, I just didn't like the cake, so I did not use it. I later tried a piece of the cake just to see how the flavor was due to reviews, saying the cakes tend to be dry. The cake had a wet, crumbling texture. It was as if they wet the cake with a simple syrup mixture to try and add moisture. It was not good. 98% of this cake went straight to the trash. Waist of money. Disappointed.

Two male employees told me I could do a cake tasting but when I tried to do it with a female employee with a thick accent at the order counter, she said I have to preorder before tasting. THAT’S SO BACKWARDS! Clearly they have something to hide! Probably the dry cake like so many other reviews state. Poor service!

I paid $35 for mini cupcakes that were dry and even a couple of people spat out right in front of me. Also, I ordered Funfetti and they were just regular vanilla. The icing was too thick and the cake was EXTREMELY dry, which seems to be a consistent problem. It was so bag that one of my guests left my party and went to grab a cake from Ralph's just so I could have something to enjoy. I tried calling on Monday 10/7 but realized that they weren't open. I just threw them & my whole birthday away. So disappointing!

This is the second time I visited this bakery. The first time I was actually on Fairfax, looking for a soul Food restaurant that used to be next door, I asked one of the ladies there if they knew what happened to that restaurant and decided to buy a cupcake. This time I really wanted to taste their varieties of cupcakes and I have to admit The flavor differences are very minimal. They all taste very similar with just the essence of what they say their flavors are except the lemon. The lemon was very powerful with lemon flavor, the killer for me was the icing. There is enough icing on one cupcake to ice three cupcakes. I found myself scraping off most of it to enjoy the cupcake. also I think their cupcakes are refrigerated which is why the icing is pretty solid when you first get it, but after leaving it out for a few hours I tried it again and the icing was soft. or maybe I can attribute that to it being in my car for most of the day lol but it wasn’t melted. It was just softer

Customer service sucks. After trying to call the bakery for 5 times they picked up and put me on hold for one hour. Then they hanged up on me. When i called back they did the same thing several times. I finally was able to get someone on the phone who had bad atitude and told me we are very busy now i will call you in 10 minutes but never called back. Then i called and asked for the manager who also was very unprofessional and didnt resolve the issue. Very bad experience

I order cakes from here every now and again and they are fabulous. Today I was in the area and ordered a dozen mini cupcakes. I don't know if they were made DRY or been sitting for days now and just DRYED out. So far I've bit 6 and threw them all away. Too DRY to eat and you're now closed. The quality should match how good they look across the board. Cake, cup cakes, minis, and slices. FIX IT PEASE.

Unfortunately when we had considered them for a wedding cake we were not impressed by the offerings, the quality of the cake or their customer service. It was also hard to get a hold of anyone and ask questions. It seemed like no one was really interested in our business or helping us. The cake we sampled was dry and not something I would serve at a wedding. I would still stop by for a cupcake or two but this wouldn't be my pick for an event.
