Wait staff is exceptionally kind. Food is good.
Food here is always good. I normally get their gumbo but this time I tried fried shrimp and cat fish. It was good, even the part I took home and air fried later on for leftovers. Good food and nice atmosphere. Server was friendly and knowledgeable!

I haven’t been here in 15 years! We came to celebrate my father’s 89th birthday (40)of us! Gio was our host ! An amazingly patient host! He recognized the room was to small and changed us to a bigger room without us asking ! We had seniors and lil kids with us and he was polite and patient to each and everyone’s request! I thot because such a big group the food would be cold , I was wrong all the food was hot!!! Not many places serve great food and great service! I was impressed the food was as good as it was 15 years ago! I will be back soon ! I hope Gio and the young Latina lady that helped him , get recognized for their great effort to deliver great service , because that’s exactly what they delivered great service. My whole family was happy! I often do reviews at different places because of bad experiences. This is one of my few great experience! At a restaurant ! Thank you !

Visited on Friday afternoon and service was absolutely terrible and got worse the longer I stayed. Ordered the very expensive Catfish Dinner, was absolutely terrible. You could certainly tell the fish had been previously cooked and sitting under a heating lamp. It was hard and crumbly. The red beans and rice had what appeared to be one spoon full of rice literally thrown on top of the beans. They never brought me bread after asking twice, for a $37 meal. I reported to the manager and nothing was done, but he did tell the waitress and now she really has attitude. Interesting she came over to only me with a water container asking did I want more water. At that point I wanted nothing else from her, I told her no I didn’t. But instead of asking anyone else did they want water, she immediately took the water container back to the back area. I have reason to believe the water was???. She later came and brought other guest new glasses of water filled with ice. But not me. Needless to say they have certainly changed from years ago. What a waste. Never again, good bye to what once use to be a great place to dine socialize and have a good drink. Those days are no longer.

Inside is bigger than I thought. Went for a friend's bday. Music was a vibe and the nice dim atmosphere played well off each other.
Food: most ppl at my table ordered the oysters and loved them, one person even got seconds, others said the gumbo was a miss but the red beans and rice were delicious. They do not serve cornbread which I wish they did. I had the beinets and the bread pudding which I'll pass on the next time I go. They weren't the best. The mac n cheese, I tasted and I'll also pass on that as well. It wasn't too bad but not so good either, I can't explain it but one and done is all I can say. If you get the red snapper plate, you'll have plenty leftovers, my friend had a lot of fish left. Portions sizes here are descent tbh. I will return but only for the red beans and rice 🤷🏽♀️
They do charge a 20% gratuity for parties over 8 i think and with 10 ppl the bill was around $820.
Lastly, we did have to ask for table bread when everyone else around had theirs and we had been there will over 30mins, not sure why.
Overall, give it a try for yourself.

Ordered waaay too much food but now I got leftovers for a couple more days. And I just ordered an app and an entree. Louisiana food in an elegant setting with a good neighborhood community feel
Harold and Belle has been on my list for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife, daughter, and I had an incredible dining experience. We started with the massive 32-oz pot of gumbo — a dish that could easily feed four — and shared the incredible seafood platter. Everything was amazing. The food was rich and flavorful, the atmosphere was both cozy and lively, and our server, Nicole, was so gracious and thoughtful. We all truly enjoyed our meal and can’t wait to go back.

The food and service were excellent! We ordered a small bowl of gumbo, a catfish po boy, a shrimp po boy, and beignets. The quantity was generous. We ended up taking some food home. Our server, Nicole, was friendly and took good care of us.
